This car has been very well cared for and is a low mileage piece of automotive history. The exterior has wonderful paint in special azure blue with lots of shine and the chrome bumpers and trim are not oxidized and glisten. With the exception of a rust hole on the front left quarter panel, she is a beauty and no other rust on the car is present. No major scratches, dings or dents to mention. The interior is in terrific shape and does not suggest any more use than a Sunday church transporter. Although you should wear a funny hat and smoke a cigar in such a stylish Jag, this one has no bad odors or stains on the headliner or carpets, no rips tears nor burns in the leather seats, and the headliner is tight. The dash is not bleached or cracked and all the gauges and buttons function. This one is very comfortable. The only issue to mention are the door handles and locks which I let my not-so-mechanically-inclined uncle try to fix. With the exterior of the handle removed on the driver’s door, you enter the car by pulling the mechanism manually and the door opens. From inside, the handle in the driver seat lets you back out. However, the remaining three doors do not open from outside or inside and need to be hooked up again. Likewise, the power locks which I presume to be on the same system don’t function, but without functioning handles it doesn’t matter, does it? I took a picture of the inside of the driver’s door to show the functionality of the one door. Mechanically the car runs really well and is comfortable to drive, goes down the road straight and quietly, and doesn’t leak or smoke. A new battery was installed and it fires up and purrs just wonderfully. The brakes have plenty of life and stop on a dime, she has lots of get up and go, and the transmission shifts smoothly and right on point. The tires appear to be in nice shape but are not holding air for more than a few days in these below-freezing temperatures, so they will get you home fine but a new set would be in order. No other issues to mention in this department. And last but not least, valid Pennsylvania safety and emissions inspection through the spring of 2013! All in all a fun and comfortable Jag with a lot of flare. I’m holding a clear PA title for its new owner.
