Vehicle Detail

1972 Ford Gran Torino Sport Fastback. Power Steering, A/C, Automatic, A/M radio Mileage is probably original as most of the documents support it, along with condition of the car. Tight steering, runs, drives, stops, goes as it should. This car is so nice I can't really enjoy it for fear of a scratch or worse and have learned that I do not want a showcar. I have located a different 72 GTSFB to build as a driver and a 1970 Torino convertible to also rebuild as a driver. I am very reluctantly parting with this car due to space issues. I'm not desperate to sell, and as you can see by my ebay handle I am a Torino guy, I will not accept a lowball offer. Auction format sale, with a reserve that is reasonable for the car...you can't paint it or rebuild it for the reserve, that is certain. But if you want to make an offer to end the auction early contact me via ebay. Owner reserves right to end auction at any time. I looked for this car for 15 years. You will have a difficult time finding a 72 GTSFB laser stripe car in this condition, in any color. In this color combination they are very very rare. Comes with restoration documents from prior owner. I have only changed fluids/filters since ownership. This is not a 100% perfect car, but it is very close. If you are into Torinos you will love this car. Don't bid on it if you don't plan to be a respectful caretaker. Ask questions if you have them. I have driven car less than 500 miles in 6 years. It is a very well kept and babied machine that is driven regularly, but not too far. Short drives in the subdivision and quick blasts down the local freeway in nice weather only, along with a car show now and then. Mileage: 82622 Body: 63R Color: 2B Trim: FW Trans: X Axle: 2 DSO: 21 Title: Clear Texas title in my name. Comes with keys, bill of sale, Texas title, restoration documents, prior owner contact information. H Code. But prior owner rebuilt 351C for performance. Cam, head work, MSD ignition, headers, 4 bbl carb/intake. Runs very very well. Solid second and chirps third. Currently has a 3.70 locker but comes with original 2.75 gear. Solid all the way through the rpm range. A/C has been updated to R134 and works. Painted in 1986 and garaged since. These are OEM lasers, not repops...they reflect as they should. Paint is a mile deep. I have owned it 5 years and have not waxed it. It only gets driven on dry days and I have only washed it twice. Prior owner cared for it the same way. It does have some very very minor paint blemishes, but considering it was painted 27 years ago it looks awesome. Pictures do not do it justice. Interior has some slight yellowing on the rear trim panels. Some very minor imperfections but as you can see from the pictures it is very nice. I tinted the windows with a film tint to save the interior from the Texas sun, it is easily removable. This is an AS-IS sale. Car runs and looks great. Buyer should have an independent inspection performed. Ask questions if you have them. I have 100s of pictures and will send them to you upon request. Seller is not responsible for any errors or omissions in the ad, it is up to the buyer to either inspect the car or question specific details. NO WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. No test pilots, tire kickers, or joy riders...no, you will not be able to drive the car. I will take you or your inspector anywhere you want to go, including a shop to inspect the car at your expense. Deposit of $2000 via paypal within 48 hours of auction close. Shipping costs are buyer's responsibility. Remainder of balance due and must be cleared, prior to shipping. I will work with you on shipping dates, but don't leave the car here for more than a few weeks please. My driver 72 GTSFB project is sitting outside waiting for a garage space. I WILL NOT SELL THIS CAR OUTSIDE OF THE UNITED STATES UNLESS YOU DOUBLE MY RESERVE. I HAVE DEALT WITH NON-US SHIPPING BEFORE AND IT IS NOT WORTH THE AGGRAVATION. I want this car to go to a different owner who will care for and respect the car as much as I and the prior owner have. Please don't bid on it if you plan to hot rod it, use it in a movie, or generally abuse it. There are other Torinos out there that are much cheaper and easily modified. This is a very rare machine in incredible condition. It deserves a covered parking area and a owner who understands how rare this car is. Again, ask questions if you have them. Buyer assumes no responsibility for this ad or the information in or out of it, verbal or written. I can be reached at 832 4two8 76one6. No calls after 9pm CST and if during the workday you will have to leave a message. On Jan-24-13 at 20:08:28 PST, seller added the following information: Last entry should be SELLER assumes no responsibility for this ad or the information in or out of it, verbal or written. If you have questions let me know. I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE AN INDEPENDENT INSPECTION OF THE CAR. I KNOW WHAT THE INSPECTION WILL SAY, BUT THE BUYER SHOULD HAVE PEACE OF MIND AND KNOW IT ALSO. On Jan-27-13 at 05:31:48 PST, seller added the following information: FAKE AD ALERT: SOMEONE COPIED MY EBAY AD ONTO CRAIGLIST IN HOUSTON. IT WAS POSTED ON 1/25/13. THIS IS NOT ME. I JUST DISCOVERED IT 1/27 AND FLAGGED IT. THEY TOOK THE TEXT DIRECTLY FROM THIS EBAY AD. THERE IS A LINK TO PICTURES. I DIDN'T CLICK IT AS IT IS PROBABLY FOR A VIRUS. MY PHONE NUMBER IS IN THE EBAY AD ABOVE. CALL ME DIRECTLY IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT THE CAR OR MY EBAY AD. I have had several requests for additional pictures. I will be making a video this afternoon. Once done I'll ad the link to the ebay ad or directions on how to get to it. The video will include sound. I'll probably break up the video into body, interior, underhood, undercarriage, sound/driving...so there will be several small ones to help in downloading. On Jan-28-13 at 05:26:56 PST, seller added the following information: Need to correct a couple of things 1. I typed MSD ignition, I meant to type Mallory. It has a Mallory Unilite Distributor 2. The interior trim quarter panel sections are sunfaded, yellowed and damaged more than I remembered when I did the add. I will be including a different set of them that can be dyed with the auction, for the new owner to install if preferred. Harris County Sheriff's Dept has been contacted about the fake ad I mentioned that was placed on craigslist. If anyone contacted the person who placed that ad please let me know. I am creating a Youtube account and loading videos. It takes forever. 2 of the videos should be available right now. My account is z72torinotony2008. I will post an update once all 6 videos are loaded. It is about an hour and 15 minutes of video. Please contact me if you have questions Tony On Jan-31-13 at 17:05:22 PST, seller added the following information: Final attempt at youtube exterior video completed and posted. Correction on paint date, 1991 not 1986 Reserve is met, car will sell. Reluctantly. I've tried to be as candid as possible. There are 6 videos, totaling a little more than an hour of video on youtube. Search z72torinotony2008 and you will find them. Ask questions if you have them. I don't know what else I can do to try to electronically convey the condition of this car. Took another look at the documents. Paint, tires/wheels, mileage via Ford dealership repair order and tires from purchase in 1991. Obviously if car had been in the sun and/or driven much, the Uniroyal tires would have long since been replaced. Many parts replacements during restoration. COMPLETE ownership history. Original dealer warranty tag and supporting documents. Email from the restorer detailing how he came to own the car, did the restoration, prior ownership history, his sale, then my purchase. This car has it all. Verified mileage (at least as much as possible), restoration/paint documentation, complete prior owner history with addresses and names, paint a mile deep, mechanically there...I could go on and on. Bottom line is that this is a great car. It's not 100%, but it has been very well taken care of and will make the next owner very proud to show it. I CAN NOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH. IF YOU DO NOT INTEND TO BE A GOOD CARETAKER, I DON'T WANT YOUR MONEY. I know I will never find another one in this condition...
