My wife says its time to sell one of my Jeeps so this is the one I am sacrificing. This is a 1984 Jeep CJ7 with less than 65K actual miles. The 4 wheel drive works great as does everything else on this Jeep. Over the summer I put on a new steering gear box, a new carburetor (the old one was a little gummed up from sitting in the previous owners garage), and replaced about every gasket that has anything to do with oil. The shop that did the work accidentally cracked the valve cover slightly so they replaced it with the new style and retro-fitted everything according to the manufacturer's specs. This Fall I also replace the heater-core. The seats do not have any rips or tears that I am aware of, and the previous owner had the interior Rhino-lined. That is also who added the Diamond Plate accent panels and the Lift Kit. When I bought it, it came with a full soft-top and doors and a Bikini top, I bought a used Hard top and doors from a local 4 x 4 shop, so you have 3 tops to choose from. The hard top is what it is... one of the back glass hinges is rusted out and I have not put any lift-assist cylinders on it so it does not stay up without being propped with something. I do not know of anything, big or small, that you would have to do to this Jeep in order to start taking advantage of owning a Jeep that you can be proud of.
