Vehicle Detail
Are you looking for a classic VW Camper Bus? Want to slow down and breathe the fresh air while enjoying the view from a bay window bus? Then look no further! Check out this very cool "Riviera" style camper bus we are selling. Driving? - This bus is a faithful daily driver that takes me in and out of town everyday. (20-30miles/day) Passengers? - Seats 5, Sleeps 5 (2 camper beds, 1 front hammock). Very easy set-up to convert from driver to camper. Camping? - Original Norcold fridge AND 1100W Inverter (New and in original box) included in the sale (installation required). The passenger couch quickly folds down to instantly provide a double bed. The camper easily lifts with pop-up to provide an additional double bed. One additional hammock drapes over the front driver/passenger seat to allow for a small child/pet to sleep or for additional storage when camping. Condition: Mechanical: The engine and transmission run great. Maintenance has been maintained throughout ownership. Records included with sale. Structural: New bodywork/two-tone paint (mint green/white). Brand new whitewall tires, hubcaps and brake pads. Brand new white vinyl poptop camper wrap and poptop hardware. Brand new interior upholstery, headliner, wall liners throughout rear of bus. New sound system (4speaker/1Subwoofer). Rust? Minimal. Small amount under driver and passenger floor (photos of entire undercarriage available upon request). Overall: This bus is in great shape. History: I have owned the bus for 3 years and oversaw the restoration of structural, electrical, mechanical as well as body/camper/interior. All records of work completed and items purchased are included with the sale to see what was done and when it was done. Unfinished Projects: I am asked regularly what I think still needs to be done on the bus. At this point, there are minimal projects based on preference. This bus does NOT have a heater. The gas gauge is non-functioning. The passenger door was replaced during renovation and still needs to be keyed to match the rest of the bus. The door panels on the driver and passenger door need to be reupholstered from beige to white. There is no sink, stove or cabinetry. Original refrigerator included with sale, but not installed. Overall: This is a +40 year old VW bus and the Riviera style camper is a great piece of West Coast history. It has been a fun and easy project to restore and the bus gets a lot of looks. Our family is sad to see it go, but we need to make room for other projects around here. This bus is priced to sell, no trades. Perfect VW bus for: VW Shows, Weekend Campouts, College Students. All in all a great piece of VW history at a low price!
