I never thought I'd be doing this as I always told myself I would never sell my beloved Previa. If you do not already know about the Toyota Previa, I encourage you to RESEARCH this incredible Toyota as it is bulletproof, the reviews are stellar and it is EASILY known to go above the 300,000 mile mark if well-maintained which my Previa surely has been! The ONLY reason I am selling is because I want to lease a new car and am a high school student driving a minivan so it can be kind of embarrassing at times. That doesn't take away my true feelings for this Previa - There is still a part of me that doesn't want to sell it because I have formed such a bond and appreciation for it! I am the third owner of this Previa and bought it in July of 2011 with 117,556 miles from the second owner in Scotch Plains, NJ. I have gotten so many compliments on the condition of this vehicle especially now that it is considered a classic! After researching and learning all about the Previa I have maintained it religiously and have ALWAYS changed the oil EVERY 3,000 miles with either Valvoline or Castrol 10W-30 High Mileage Oil. EXCELLENT mechanical condition. The van runs and shift smoothly and starts right up! The engine has NO LEAKS whatsoever. On top of that I am a light foot when it comes to driving this car. I never floor it nor do I slam on the brakes. When starting it I give it a minute or so before shifting it into gear. That is not to say it can't be started and floored within seconds as it surely can! I have tracked my fuel economy since I bought it at 117,556 miles. I have gotten an average of 18.8 mpg and have done the majority of my driving in the city. I average 18.3 in the City and 21.1 on the highway. The best mpg I ever got was 25.6 mpg on the highway with just me in the car and no luggage. This data is based on the 26,000 miles I have driven it so I would imagine it would be pretty accurate! Recently I contacted Toyota and asked for the build sheet (included w/the car) which is similar to the original window sticker. From the build sheet I found the original selling dealer was Crystal Toyota in Green Brook, NJ (The car was owned in NJ/NY up until I bought it in 2011) and was first sold new in May of 1991. It also has the options that were installed, standard equipment, MSRP, final assembly point (some plant in Japan). Last month I drove it to NJ and while there I went to the original selling dealer and got the Crystal Toyota license plate frame and the Crystal Toyota badge as well. The unique aspects of this van are the following: *Engine is placed under the front seats as to give it better handling (center of gravity)*All fluids are placed up front so they are easily accessible along with the air filter*Has an oil resevoir that feeds oil to the engine if running low*Is RWD*Lasts FOREVER Since I have had the car: *I put a brand new A/C compressor with new drier, new AC belt (alternator belt was replaced as well since it had to get removed anyway), and R134a refrigerant done by Autoway Toyota in St. Petersburg, FL in July of 2012 so the A/C is ICE COLD. *I also had a new water pump installed January of 2012 *New exhaust system (except for the manifold) with Denso oxygen sensors installed August 2012. *Windshield was recently replaced professionally last month. *New FULL SIZE spare tire.I have records of all of these repairs. There have been no other repairs the entire time I have owned the car. Everything else has just been regular service which is oil changes, tire rotations, air filters, seafoaming, and a recent injector cleaning. I would feel 100% comfortable if I drove this car to Alaska tomorrow because this car is nearly new mechanically. It still has 100,000+ miles left of life in it if it is continued to be maintained properly. Since I have owned it I have driven (from Florida) to New Jersey 3 times with a side trip to Rhode Island once, driven to Tennessee once, and Miami once so it's been on a lot of road trips in just the past two years. You could basically be buying a new car for only $2800 because this Previa will last you forever! Altogether I have 27 service records on hand which is every repair or service done to my Previa since I had it. 5 of those are from the previous owner from 08/26/2004 at 89,000 miles to 09/02/2010 at 113,514 miles. I did most of the oil changes myself so I would have nearly double the number of records if I took it to Toyota for each oil change. FLAWS:*Left rear fender rust - before I owned it it seemed like the fender was previously repaired but poorly, however not that noticeable.*Right rear minor fender rust- size of penny*Left front turn signal lamp area has some dings around the light*Driver seat is ripped on the left side*Minor single rust spot on roof*Accent stripe on passenger door was painted over with factory touch up paint instead of removed, not noticeable though.*Exhaust manifold is rusted up, but the van is NOT loud at all it sounds normal just has a SLIGHT rattle, If the van is going to be driven up north it will eventually need to get replaced, however if it stays in the south it should be fine for awhile. *The accident listed from the history report was such a minor accident with the previous owner - there is such a small dent directly below the second row window on the driver side of the vehicle. There is NO frame damage at all on the car. THAT IS IT. There are pictures of each flaw listed. Vehicle is turn key & ready to go with nothing needed! Comes with original spare key as well. The title is clean and clear with the ACTUAL mileage not exempt miles. The vehicle is sold as-is and I reserve the right to end the auction early as this vehicle is also listed locally.
