Vehicle Detail
Here we have a 1969 Cutlass "S" Convertible. I sold this car a few weeks ago. Got a deposit and they never came back for it. So here we go again. Please be a serious buyer. This car is in great shape. It just had a new makeover started. I lost storage and need to sell before old man winter sets in harder on it and ruins what I spent alot of money doing. Winter here in NY is not pretty but so far this year it has been in the 40's-50's Thank god.The body has all of its original body panels intact. It didn't need any major panel replacement. It has some patches and bodywork but everything is complete and was done right with steel. What car this old doesn't have some body work. The body was treated to a nice hammer and dolly treatment and smooth back again to new. The body in its current state is ready for final paint. It is in PPG Epoxy primer paint. The body was bought down to bare metal and the body was worked straight again. It needed a good body massage but was WELL worth it. It didn't need quarter panels replaced or any other panel replaced. The floors are all original. The trunk is all original. I have pictures of the exterior and can list some more detailed pics if needed. If you want a pic of something specific just ask I will email them to you. I will try and take it and send it to you asap. The car has its original numbers matching 350 motor and trans intact. It runs and drives good. The only 2 things not original to the motor is the exhaust. It has headers installed with a flowmaster exhaust. The second is, It has a holley carb. I have the original rochester carb that is the numbers matching carb. It just needs a rebuild. I couldn't find anyone by me that knows how to build the rochester. The motor just had a fresh tune up. Plugs, wire, cap, rotor, points, condensor, oil, filter, gas filter, etc... were all changed. It runs great. According to the paper work and title it is a ONE owner car with 47,000 miles original. Has been stored in a true barn since 1983. TRUE BARN FIND.The brakes all work great. It has power brakes. I just installed 2 rear wheel cylinders and new rear brake lines. The interior is decent shape. The drivers seat has some rips and needs to be recovered. The passenger seat is better but I would recover to match both seats. The rear seat is in good shape. The carpet is a good driver quality shape. The dash has one small crack but it can be repaired easily. The top needs to be replaced as you can see. The top frame is in good shape. It was all cleaned up and painted. Its ready for the new top. I do have the original glass for the top. So don't buy it. I can get the top for you cheap at 189. Just let me know later I will tell you where. All the glass is intact and goes up and down with no issues. No cracks or chips anywhere. The wheels are ok driver quality. They will clean up and look nice. They are NOT show quality wheels. I have all the stainless trim for the car. It is in all great shape. Nothing missing. Just removed for paint. I also have the front bumper. Both bumpers needs to be rechromed but are solid and straight. This is an a/c car and is all still intact. Just not hooked up to the condensor so I would change the condensor because I am sure it has a leak somewhere. Basically this car needs to be finished. It is 75% complete. It needs final paint and some interior work. Have it done and finish it before the warm weather arrives. Its hard to find these cars in such good shape that are not completly rotted out and beyond repair. I am listing this car with NO reserve so bid to win. Don't try and win the car if you don't have the funds. Please don't waste my time or yours. I do have this car listed locally and have the right to end the auction anytime if it sells elsewhere. I am selling the car AS IS, No warranties implied, No returns...... If you have any questions please feel free to ask anything anytime. I will respond asap. If you have an offer in mind it doesn't hurt to ask. The worst is I say NO. ******Please come check the car in person if you can so you know exactly what you are buying and you can verify everything yourself. If you can't make it here in person there are services out there that will do so on your behalf. Please know what you are buying. I tried telling the whole story. I am sure I missed something so do your homework and ask questions. Enjoy and Happy Bidding. Thanks********On Jan-19-13 at 18:26:47 PST, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention that it needs the door panels replaced. The rear panels are there and will need to be covered as well. The upper rear panels have had speakers cut in. The speakers are not there now. They are cut for 6X9 speakers. I am sure if I remember anything else I will add on her ASAP. Good luck
