Vehicle Detail

1962 Mercury Comet Wagon. Rare Car! At least I havent been able to find another one. Never the less this is a nice car. Under the hood is a straight 6 cylinder which we believe to be original. Starts first turn of the key, idles as it should and runs down the road nice. Interior is all complete as the pictures show. Exterior is not flawless but nice. Several areas of paint inperfections but nothing terrible. The cowl has been smoothed before current paint job which could have been done better. See pictures. Ask all questions need be and thank you for viewing this listing. On Oct-15-12 at 07:45:45 PDT, seller added the following information: After several questions pertaining to this vehicle I would like any bidders to know several facts. This vehicle has been in storage for approximately 5 years. It is by no means perfect. This vehicle was planned to be built but other projects have kept me from doing so. When pulled from storage we rebult carb, drained tank and fuel lines, fresh battery and checked fluids. The vehicle starts right up, shifts and drives. We did not go through the brakes though it does stop. We did not open the engine or transmission up but fluids are present and being held. TLC and tinkering will be required to drive this wagon daily I would assume. We have only driven this wagon up and down our road and in and out of the shop. As I said before it starts right up, goes through the gears and brakes. Also, I do have engine compartment pics but have exceeded my picture posting limit. I can send pictures via email of the engine compartment if need be. There is bubbles that have appeared bottom of doors and roof area. Underneath the vehicle has undercoating and a portion of the exhaust is new. New meaning not original and has been there since put in storage 5 +/- years ago. This car would be a great start of a Good-Guys type vehicle. Thank you for your time reading through this post.
