Vehicle Detail
I am selling my 240D. It is nearly pristine inside and out, having only 47K MILES! (odometer has NOT rolled). It is perhaps the cleanest 39 year old NON RESTORED car I've ever seen, even the door weather stripping is in great condition. It starts, runs, and drives flawlessly. The suspension and steering are nice, tight, and quiet. The glow plugs have been updated to the newer (better and faster) design. I have flushed the fuel system, cleaned and adjusted the fuel injectors, and installed a new (huge) battery. The tires are in near new condition. The plastic on the outside, such as the park lights and taillights, are flawless without any stress cracking or sun fading. The engine is almost clean enough to eat off of. I have never seen a drop of anything on the ground after parking it somewhere. The engine comes up to operating temp (not higher) and runs smoothly. The A/C compressor spins and the blue light turns on, but must be low on freon as only room temp air comes out. There is some minor paint chipping on the top rear of the left fender near the windshield. There is a small outward facing dent on the right fender, the paint is not cracked or damaged, which I could NOT get a good picture of. There is some rust forming on the front right lip of the trunk lid opening, and on the body by the back glass. There is minor surface rust on the bottom of the rockers, behind the rear wheels, it is not thick and can not be seen unless looked at from underneath. The plastic map pockets, that mount to the bottom of the doors, are not on the back two doors; I have them, they just need to be re-attached. The heater fan doesn't come on but the A/C fan does. Outside of that everything is ship shape, I've tried to be as open and thorough as possible, I want whoever buys this wonderful car to be completely satisfied and not wonder about undisclosed issues. It is a GREAT, GREAT car; but its not a trailer queen that's been completely restored. Please contact me with any further questions. I do have LOTS more pictures and would be happy to e-mail if requested. The car is currently stored in a climate controlled building. This is your chance to own a classic Mercedes in great shape!
