1966 FJ40 Project. NO RESERVE! I have 3 FJ40's and need to sell this one to finance the restoration of the other. This car runs and drives and has the original F series 6cyl 3spd on column. The engine starts right up. It has an aftermarket weber carb. Runs excellent. The transfer case was rebuilt by the previous owner. I have only driven the car around the parking lot. It has a hard top and doors. The doors are missing the regulators and catches. I do have the hinges and pins. The front windsheild is from a newer model and does not fit correctly. The car has several bad coats of paint on it. There is surface rust on the car, but no rot on body or frame. The passenger side floor board has a small rust hole, but is easily patched. The driver side has a few very tiny pin holes that might need addressing if a full restore is being done. It does have a factory roll bar and rear bench seat. The front seats are some aftermarket seat (racing style) and appear in good condition. The car has been sitting for several months, but started and driven around the parking lot weekly. The brake and clutch master cyl are newer. The lights and directional lights work. It originally had the barn doors, but the previous owner put a tool box hatch on it. It fits like the ambulance door, but has a tool box for it. The drivers side windshield wiper works. The passenger side does not turn on. I'm not sure if the motor is bad or if it's electrical. Tires are decent and they are 32x11.5x15. They are old, but hold air (the right rear has a slow leak). This is a hard to find solid truck. It's just a little ugly with the old paint and surface rust. The truck is located at my office in Tempe, Az (about 2 miles from ASU). I welcome any one who would like to see it before bidding. I will warn you, it is not pretty, but has a lot of potential. It is a very solid truck and would be a cheap restoration. The truck is being sold as is with no warranty. NOTE: Buyer is responsible for shipping. I will help load the truck, but buyer must make arrangements. The truck runs and drives, so loading it will be no problem. I would not recommend someone driving it any distances as I'm not sure how it would do on a longer trip. I just haven't driven it on the road at any speed. So, I'm saying I wouldn't recommend driving it any distance until it's checked out. On Jan-12-13 at 09:46:21 PST, seller added the following information: I just drove around the block a couple of times. It ran great. Shifted well and drove straight with no nasty noises. The speedo and gauges are not working. Also, around the brake pedal it is leaking brake fluid. Not sure what the problem is, but it does have a new master cyl. Can help fix if need be. Also, the windows are in good shape (except for the windshield which is from a different year). They have bad tint on them and that is why they look cloudy.
