This car features an entirely original drivetrain, that runs excellent with what is believed to be 73,770 original miles on it. The 1956 and 1957 Continental MKII's are very special cars. Only 3,000 were made in total, making this car quite rare. At $10,000 a piece originally, this car was as expensive as a Rolls Royce or the same as two new Cadillacs. Hand assembled, hand painted and loaded to the maximum, these car were as luxurious as any car offered on the market at the time. Balanced and blueprinted from the factory, the 368ci 4v Y-Block proved to be an excellent engine. Famous owners of these vehicles included Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Elizabeth Taylor, the Shah of Iran, and a cross section of some of the richest people in America. If you have any questions feel free to call or email us. ----- VIDEOS ----- PHOTOS AND INFO: BODY/ PAINT: The body on this beautiful Continental MKII is straight as can be. No evidence of accident damage or body fillers used. Original body panels throughout the vehicle. The paint is very nice on this car, thought to have only 1 repaint in it’s life. No dents or dings found. Not major scratches or chips. The finish is glass like, as can be seen in the pictures and video. No rust found during visual inspection. No patches or panel replacement. Not a show car, but it does present beautifully given the fact that this car has never been restored, just maintained to a very high level. Even the factory undercoating is still present underneath. All brightwork, trim and bumpers are straight and in great shape. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- INTERIOR: The interior on the vehicle is in great original condition. The upholstery, door panels, sun visors, headliner, carpet, trim, all original and in great shape. No tears or rips. Aircraft style gauges work, all electric windows and electric seat adjustment work. Interior lights work. The original AM radio just quit working recently. The driver’s side rear quarter glass has a very small crack in the bottom corner. The seller has a replacement that is included with the car. Lot’s of luxury built into this car from the factory. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Engine/Transmission Numbers matching and Smooth running, factory balanced and blueprinted 368 cubic inch 4v V8, turned out 285HP from the factory. Factory air cleaner, valve covers and exhaust manifolds. Maintained well throughout it’s life, it has never been altered or customized. The parts are all as they came from the factory, on this car not including maintenance items. The car runs and drives great and demonstrated that it would run, drive and idle while sitting without overheating. It is driven on nice days. The owner recently had the fuel system cleaned, including the fuel tank. . Turbo Drive 3spd Automatic transmission, Shifts smooth, without any issues. New pan gasket. New exhaust system recently installed. Purrs like a kitten. Rear end is a stock unit. Unknown gear ratio. No howling, or abnormal noises. Runs and drives fantastic. Smooth, as expected.
