This truck has been a member of our family and trusted companion since we bought it in 2001. The Duramax Diesel and Allison Transmission live up to their famed reputation, providing outstanding torque and power throughout the operating range. It’s smooth, comfortable and ready to pull anything you can think of behind it. The diesel engine offers significantly better gas mileage than its petrol based competitors and I’ve never encountered a truck that handles a payload as effortlessly. The drivetrain, even at just over 200k, performs just as if it came off the block. This engine and transmission are in the prime of their lives and ready to fulfill the needs of a lucky second owner. It runs drives and hauls just as well as it did on day one and has been meticulously maintained. The oil and filter were replaced every 5k with Rotella Pure Synthetic. The tranny fluid and filter were done every 50k along with the front and rear axle fluid, all using Castrol Full Synthetic. We traded out the factory air filter for a K&N aftermarket within the first week and have continued using those on all of our vehicles. It has Bilstien Shocks all around which have kept the truck in near perfect alignment. The Powerstop Trailer Brake works beautifully and the Dragonfly Industrial Injectors (+50 HP) were installed professionally at Chevrolet’s Commercial Diesel Shop just outside Atlanta. The Alternator, Water Pump, Belts, Tensioners, and Power Steering Pump have all been replaced within the last 2 years. The Four Wheel Drive engages seamlessly and all electronics are fully functional to include the upgraded speakers and automatic starter and keyless entry remote. The body color pickup shell will keep anything in the bed warm and dry and locks for your security. Additionally the drop-in bed liner and rubber bed mat keep anything from sliding around in the back. Tires are in great shape with well over 75% of the tread left. And the Factory Wheels are still immaculate as you can see in the pictures. Recently installed a brand new class 4 towing hitch to replace the factory originalThere is a tear in the leather of the driver side seat from years of getting in and out but other than that the interior shows very little wear. The body and paint are in good condition with only a few imperfections to include a quarter sized dent in the right rear quarter panel. Paint looks great all around with some minor rust spots in the bottom rear corner of the cab and the front right fenderwell. All of these blemishes are too be expected from a used vehicle of this age and do not detract from the overall image of this truly spectacular truck. Kelley Blue Book lists this vehicle, with all its options at right around $12,000. You can take it home today for far less.
