Selling this beautiful, low mileage 1979 Mercedes Benz 450SL that has been open checkbook maintained by two loving owners. Touted by Star Magazine as the next collectable SL Mercedes, this one has travelled a scant 64,300 miles. It is finished in Brown on tan. The soft top is in good shape. The paint is not clearcoated checked like most SL out there. The wheels are in good condition and it rides on Michelin tires. If after all these years, the owner has the heart to purchase Michelin tires for their car, you know it has been well cared for. That is the case here. Whenever maintenance was required, the owner just told the mechanic to take care of it and send her the bill. It drives great. Shifts great and still has the top tools and books and records. The seats will need attention as leather does age over time. It has custom sheepskin seat covers as well as a custom fit car cover. The bumpers look great, the dash does have some cracks. You would be hardpressed to find an SL without a cracked dash. Especially one from 1979. Check out the videos, this one is well maintained. You can come out and drive it home if that is what you desire. It doesn't smoke, leak or drip. That is a feat in itself. It was always a third car and only taken out in California sunshine. This one is special and the new owner will be smiling ear to ear when he or she drives it. I've owned a few SL's and know a good one when I see it. This one is that good one.
