This 1980 MG Limited Edition Roadster finished in original black exterior and matching black interior. The Limited Edition package was offered in 1979 and 1980 (in the US only) and only on black MGB roadsters. During this time period there were 6,668 MGB LTD sold. Other items included in this package were the front air dam, LE alloy five spoke wheels, MG hubs, luggage rack, trunk carpet kit, leather covered three-spoke steering wheel, lower body stripes, and a LE dash plaque on the glove box. This example has traveled only 57768 miles since new and has always been garage kept. The 1798 cc engine produces just at 100 HP and is matted to a four-speed manual gearbox. Hydraulic disc brakes are installed on the front and drums on the rear. This MG LE is a two owner and the same for over the past twenty years where is has been kept in a garage in the Pacific Northwest. We have gone over this car and found everything to be in working condition. The interior is in excellent condition with no tears or damage. The black matching soft top is free from tears and the plastic rear windows are in great condition as well. Some time ago the car had a re-spray, most likely to the poor original paint quality. The paint looks great now and has many more years of life in it. We serviced this vehicle when it came in and it is ready for the road. We have all original books and manuals for the MG including the original window sticker, and lot of receipts. I am sure that hardly any other MGB LTD’s have these documents. This is a great weekend English roadster that is reliable and fun to drive, great way to own a part of history of the roots of Sports Cars.
