Up for auction is my 1966 Chevelle SS 396 360HP 4Spd Numbers Matching car. Purchased the car in 1983 in Carson City, MI and enjoyed the car until 1992 when we decided to fully restore the car. Unfortunately we never had the time and the car has been sitting in my garage ever since. Never stored outdoors in my ownership. I have never found a build sheet on the car but I believe this to be a numbers matching car and I have taken pictures of all the stamping the best I could. Vin: 138176F108089 Engine Block: 3855962 also casted in is HI-PERF Stamped On Engine Deck: T1123EFF108089 Casting Date on Block: K16 Casting # On Intake: 3866948 Casting Date On Intake: K 20 5 Transmission: 3885010 with last 6 of Vin stamped on opposite side Exhaust Manifold: 3868874 Rear Axle: Believed to be CF1201B however the traction bar clamp rubbed the C off. After doing some research I have tried to confirm its originality as best as I can. All of the parts pictured with the exception of the carburetor and wheels were on the car when I purchased it in 1983. Windshield was broken in storage. Still searching for the original carb and radio as those were changed prior to disassembly. I believe the original color of the car was Aztec Bronze. I tried to keep all of the original fasteners attached with their original parts. Paint on any part is pre 1983. All parts shown are believed to be original as I have never bought any aftermarket parts for the car. It was a complete and driving car when it was disassembled in 1992.
