I am selling a very unique car. It is the famous first generation BMW M3. I purchased this car a few months ago on Ebay from Windy City Motorsports in Chicago and neither they nor I have any specs on the replaced drivetrain. It has had transplanted into it the later E36 3.0 liter 6 cyliner M3 engine. The car also sports a lowered and stiffened suspension as well as BMW motorsport wheels. The car is in good condition and runs GREAT! This car would make an excellent trackday car or the buyer can choose to locate the original drivetrain and restore the car. I have owned one of the early M3's before and trust me when I say this car is much more fun to drive with the more powerful and torque laden larger engine. The car runs fantastic and just about everything works except the tachometer which would need to be recalibrated for the 6 cylinder engine. Also the person who did the engine replacement did not reinstall the A/C compressor or lines. I suppose that when they found they needed the 6 cylinder A/C brackets they chose to leave it off. However, all of the underdash a/c components as well as condenser still remain on the car. I was told by Windy City Motorsports that the car has had an accident at some point in its history but it must not have been very siginificant as the car drives great and the title is a CLEAR title. Come see, hear and drive the car to be convinced what a great drive it is! I paid nearly $20,000 for this car and my loss will be someones gain. I have recently acquired another car and now have no more room in my storage facility for this lovely automobile.
