Purchased this 1999 Suburban with around 44,000 miles in 2002. Amazing vehicle with 283,000 + miles. No leaks of any kind. Totally dry undercarriage. Oil changed every 3,000-4,000 miles. Castrol 10-30. Never needed to add oil between changes. New transmission around 40,000 miles ago. Roughly six months ago running rough. $1,000 tune-up took care of it. New injectors for one thing. New alternator about a month ago. A few little changes I made: cold air intake (have stock which is included in sale), dual exhaust (kept it stock look and sound), powder coated brake calipers, drilled and slotted rotors, and stainless steel brake lines. Replaced hood insulation and front inner fender engine splash guards. With exception of the hood, paint is in very good shape. Hit a deer on the front passenger side. Nothing wrong with hood however, they decided to paint it and messed up on the prep. Paint was applied too thick. Went around and around with body shop at the time. I knew that in a couple of years the paint would crack and fade. Finally gave up fighting with them and sure enough it faded and cracked. With this many miles there are some items not working properly. Some of the radio lighting is out and the speakers are old and dry. Radio, CD and cassette player work fine. Front heater/AC fan switch only works on high. A/C works fine. Check engine light stays on. Driver's side power window does not work. Back passenger auto door lock does not work. Rear cargo door switch for interior dome lighting does not work. This was not a smoke free vehicle. Clear title. Local pick up only.
