Vehicle Detail
This bike has just munched it's third transmission and I don't want to put anymore cash into it. Otherwise it is in good shape mechanically-no other issues that I know of. It does has some cosmetic damage to the right from a recent-gentle low speed low side, otherwise never down. It is still rideable-I do every day, it just jumps around in 2nd and gets stuck in gear so this bike needs a new or used tranny right away. Lots of extra stuff that I can remove if someone doesn't want to spend the money, here's the partial list along with the price to add to the "buy it now" and/or final price if the buyer wants any or all-note-none of the items below are included in the "buy it now" price and are not included in the final sale unless specifically requested to be added by the buyer. If the buyer chooses any or all of the items below, the price of each and all items listed will be added to the sale price and the buyer is expected to add said prices to the final price-no negotiation of additional items will be considered. Escort 8500 Radar Detector and remote display-$300 Escort ZR4 Laser Jamming system-$250 Blue Sea fuse box-$50 XM Radio and mount - $25 Carbon Fiber Battery cover-$50 Permanent Gerbing Dual Heated clothing controls in dash-$100 Screaming Banshee auxiliary horn-$75 Stebel Aux horn-$75 HID lighting for both high and low beams-$100 Frame sliders - $100 Sato rear sets-$500 Pirate's lair billet alluminum torque arm-$100 Custom levers - $100 Rick Mayer custom leather saddle $250 MRA shield with wind deflector-$100 carbon fiber side panels-$50 Full Remus Titanium Exhaust-$1200 Rear Tire Carbon Fiber spoiler-$250 This has been a terrific bike, and I think it has some life left with a new tranny. On Dec-24-12 at 08:18:15 PST, seller added the following information: factory installed equipment- ESA (Electronic Suspension Adjustment) ABS Heated Grips note-this bike does not have traction control, it was not offered on this bike in 06 On Dec-26-12 at 10:01:58 PST, seller added the following information: Saddlebags are included in this sale at no additional cost to buyer. Tthe bike is rideable-it shifts easily from 1 to 2, once in second if you apply to much throttle the bike will 'jump' as if you are pulling in the clutch and letting it out quickly-as I said, this is the third trasnmission-these 1200s had a problem with 2nd gear. Once you shift into higher gears, you can give it all the throttle you wish to and the bike feels perfect-but occasionally I have had trouble shifting it past 4th. so it can get stuck in 4th. If I was going to keep it I would get a tranny for the K1300 (GT or S will both fit) and clutch assembly for the 1300. BMW redesigned the tranny for the 13 and folks have not reported any problems with that new design. It can still do 100 mph in 2nd-or so I'm told. :-) I just realaized that I no longer have the original stock exhaust so the Remus Full Titanium exhaust and Power Cone is included in the sale at no additional cost to the buyer-Note--this is the full exhaust including the headers, not just the can. This is a $2200 retail item and unlike the 42 # stock exhaust, the Full Remus Titanium exhaust and power cone weighs about 10#s.On Dec-28-12 at 06:36:28 PST, seller added the following information: I just got an e mail this morning from Beemer Bonyard in NJ and they have a K1200S transmission with 24,000 miles on it they would sell for $750 plus shipping-with clutch for $900 plus shipping .
