1942 Complete Custom Ford Rat Rod Truck Happy Holidays! Up for bid is a unique custom made 1942 Ford Rat Rod pickup truck. This is a great opportunity to get a completely custom built truck that is ready for the road and/or show. This is a reserve priced auction, however the reserve is set well below what it would cost to even get your foot in the door with a frame for a custom rat rod. I like to dabble in custom show cars, and have had a lot of fun with building this truck. I am not a dealer. I am only selling the truck because I have a couple of new projects going and I need the space in my garage! I have taken this little gem to several custom car shows in the greater Phoenix area, and it always grabs attention. It runs strong and mean- a quick little truck! I want the potential buyer to be well informed about all of the features so that there are no surprises when the auction ends. The body does have a few small dents on the cab, and the bottom rear corners of the cab have previously been repaired with Bondo. The rear truck tires will probably need to be replaced soon. This truck is not a project truck- it is ready to go. I do reserve the right to end the auction at any time. I will answer calls and questions in the order they are received so that it is fair to everyone. If you are purchasing the truck from out of state and desire to have the it shipped please make sure that you contact me as well as making sure you check with shipping companies. These hoods are very hard to find, let alone one that is in this good of shape with the original trim. This hood alone is valued at over $400 if you are lucky enough to find one.
