Only 60 models were outfitted in 2001 from GM in this platform. This is a 2001 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD 4X4 Crew Cab Long Bed Truck with the 8.1 Liter 496 Cubic Inch Big Block and the 6 - Speed Manual Transmission. Big Block motors were rare to find in these trucks. To find a 6-Speed manual in a 2500 HD is almost unheard of. 99% of them were equipped with the Allison Automatic transmission. This truck was factory ordered this way. It took months for it to even get built and sent to the dealer when new. This truck is literally turn key and drive home and enjoy immediately. It needs absolutely nothing. Even comes with a full tank of gas ! This truck is fully equipped for anything that you need to do with it. It is in absolutely stunning condition. NO RUST ! It is extremely clean. The drivetrain is in top notch condition. Completely serviced and every single area of maintenance addressed. To start with the notorious issue of faulty GM exhaust manifold gaskets has already been taken care of. Brand new Felpro brand heavy duty exhaust manifold gaskets were just installed. Also brand new Iridium spark plugs were done at the same time. Oil and filter change was just recently done with Mobil 1 5W-30 and Lucas synthetic oil stabilizer and oil filter. This has been the same oil change products used since the truck was new! A K&N air filter and intake system, and Flowmaster American Thunder exhaust system has been installed to maximize power and efficiency. Fuel injection processing has been handled by the addition of a HYPERTECH Max Energy Programmer to properly monitor the air fuel ratios and fuel delivery and increase horsepower, torque and fuel mileage. The result is a properly tuned and awesome running truck with unstoppable power !!! All the coolant hoses have been replaced with heavy duty hoses. The antifreeze is fresh and clean. Also the serpentine belt and associated tensioner and pulley has been replaced. Brand new Gold series heavy duty battery installed 09/2012. Brakes at all 4 wheels are recently replaced as well as front calipers. Brake fluid was thoroughly flushed and is brand new and clean. New heavy duty Reflex shock absorbers installed at all four wheels. The clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing were replaced and a heavy duty flywheel was installed. I have the receipts in hand for all the clutch replacement work. The power transfer is handled perfectly through the clutch system. The transmission shifts flawlessly. 1st gear is a true creeper gear and 6th gear is a true highway overdrive gear. The truck easily drives in town traffic and performs exceptionally well on the long highway cruises. The manually engaged four wheel drive works perfectly. The 14-bolt rears are factory equipped with heavy duty 4.11 gears. Brand new Helo 842 Chrome plated 18" wheels look fantastic with brand new Nitto Terra Grappler All Terrain tires sized 32X11.50R18". The Hypertech programmer also recalibrated the speedometer of the truck to compensate for the larger tire size to keep speed and mileage correct. This is one big, long truck rolling down the highway ! The body of the truck is in amazing condition. Garage kept all of it's life. There is a pair of projection headlamps installed in the front and black altezza tail lights. I have the original lights to go with the truck. The grille has a SS Speed Scene grille insert. The hood is a Goodmark Steel Cowl hood painted perfectly to match. Windows are all tinted for a perfect matching look. Truck is RUST FREE. Rockers and cab corners are in perfect original shape. No paint work on this truck at all. No accidents or damage of any kind. The entire frame of this truck and all four wheel wells have been painted with epoxy black coating to seal the undercarriage and protect it. And it looks fantastic like brand new! Full length aluminum tube steps compliment the truck and make getting inside a breeze. Extendable pull out towing mirrors factory installed. The bed is lined with a professional spray in extreme bedliner that seals the entire bed and tailgate and goes over the rail. There is a fifth wheel rack installed in bed as well if you need a fifth wheel setup to haul with. There is also a wheel chock station in the front of the bed if you have a motorcycle to load in. These both sit flush and flat on the bed floor to not impede loading of cargo. A folding tonneau cover keeps the bed area clean and dry and is easily removed. There is 6 tie down anchors around the perimeter of the bed for additional securing points for cargo. Drop step rear bumper allows easy access to truck. There is also a class 4 receiver hitch on the truck with 7-pin connector for towing anything. The truck is fully equipped as well with on board brake controller for towing. Inside this truck is massive. Full crew cab with four doors allows a total of six people to sit in this truck if needed. Four big adults can easily sit very comfortably in this truck. There is lots of leg room and head room. The interior is easy to keep clean. Vinyl seats and vinyl floors. No leather to wear out and crack and no carpets to have stains or wear marks on. Seats are in great shape and clean. There is a removable center console between the front seats. Crank windows and push locks for ease and simple function. Stereo is simple AM/FM cassette stereo. There is an auxillary CD changer under the rear seat. Factory installed bank of three 12 volt outlets. Full engine management gauges on dash. There is also a CB radio installed in the truck. Heat and A/C work fantastic. This truck is a blast to drive. It fires right up and runs fantastic. There is tons of power. Hit the gas pedal and this truck hauls down the highway. It is FAST !!! Again it is completely serviced and turn key and enjoy immediately. It is currently PA inspected until 09-2013. It is also rated for 10,000 LBS with a Class 4A weight sticker so you can haul plenty if you need to.
