I bought this F250 in April 2010 with 4 years, unlimited milage, transferable extended warranty that expires April 2014. I added a rear bed cap to keep cargo from the elements. It can be easily removed.It had just over 100k on odometer when I bought it, and I have put another 126k, 90% freeway to 10% city ratio miles, nothing has been towed since I bought it.Last month on my way back from Texarkana it overheated, with white smoke coming out the tail pipe, so I had it towed back to Denton, TX to a shop. The preliminary call on shop's part, after they started it and run the motor up, was that it has bad EGR and or blown head gasket. They are asking over $2500 to tear it apart to pinpoint what else may be wrong with it. The extended warranty company will not pay for tear down and I can't invest in doing that, so here is a MECHANIC'S SPECIAL!!!The body is in good shape, no rust. It can be viewed by appointment.
