This is not your run of the mill black & gold firebird.This is a factory "Y84" code-Special Edition along with the combined "WS4/WS6" code-Trans Am option car.The build sheet is included to show its authenticity & other options as well. It has a good history & pedigree having being owned by an older lady in the past,which kept the miles down & driven easily.It recently also came out of a prestigious collection at "Trans Am Specialties" in Miami,Fla.They hand pick some of the finest Trans Am's around & this is one of them.Have supporting paperwork from that establishment. It only has over 89k miles & the car really reflects low mileage.The body is solid, straight,retains all its original sheetmetal.It has had one repaint approximately two years ago to bring it to show quality!It has had no real drive time on it since & has been stored with a cover so it still looks great.There was around 7k invested in the paint & alot of time & hard work also.All new graphics as well. Drives & handles like a new car.Once you open the door all the interior lighting operates,even the floor entry levels.Stick the key in & the ignition buzzer operates.The clock holds perfect time.The original radio works as the power antenna goes up & down too.A/C works...Everthing works down to when you open the trunk,its decklid light operates. The interior is all original & in very good condition!The dash is perfect as well as the steering wheel,etc.The dash inlay is machined gold as well as the shifter bezel-all gold emblems interior & exterior-part of the Special Edition package.The trunk has all its original equipment,spare tire,jack,t-top bags,etc.T-tops look great,they have factory number markings on them & corresponding side glass for identification. It has an upgraded early 70's 400 engine that's been bored 40 over to a 408ci stroker.It has forged Speed Pro flat top pistons,an Isky 270 cam with 465 valve lift.It has a set of rare '69 Ram Air III heads #16's with a roller assembly.Has ARP studs & bolts through out.Its topped off with a 750 Holley Avenger performance carb.Everything in or relating to the engine is basically new.Have receipts of over 6k parts & labor.The radiator is upgraded to an oversized "Be Cool' unit for maximum flow & cooling.From there the fan is like new,pulleys,belts...from the radiator to the flywheel is like new.This is an engine you would want & more worthy of a "Bandit T/A".It was built by a highly respected company,the "Trans Am Depot" in Tallahassee,Fla. which specializes in Pontiacs.Receipts included...also the original low mileage engine will be included,you get the best of both worlds with this deal. It has newer exhaust,custom made long tube ceramic coated headers by Dougs performance.Also has a billet mini high torque starter for better cranking ability & clearance.Then on to the pipes & stainless steel Magnalow mufflers.Newer T/A dual splitter exhaust tips also.The exhaust note really is reminiscent of the Bandit,sounds Great! The transmission is original & low mileage as the car.It has the factory slap stick shifter also.The rear end is original(3.08 positraction)This along with the engine make it very responsive & fun to drive.It has 4 wheel disc brakes & stops well.All around enjoyable car to drive. This is a Great collector car in very good condition.The only difference in this car & others at over $20-30k is the price.Only around 3,000 of the real Y84 S.E. were built in 81.Along with this being the last year of the desirable Fbody birds make it a great car to own.
