1987 560SL Mercedes. Great car, 5.6L V8, A.C., Hard top/Soft top. We have owned this car for the past few years and have lovingly taken care of it. The car has around 140,000 miles on it. The Odometer (manual) stopped at 107,000. The speedometer (electric) works but the miles do not move.The internal odometer gears going bad is a common problem with the 560's, easy to fix, just haven't. It has been an almost daily driver and has been a dependable vehicle and a blast to drive. I have never driven it without someone giving me a compliment on it. Here is a list of the new parts that have been put on in the last two years for preventative maintenance. All parts that have been changed were original parts. Any part not listed: assume it is an original part. New: Starter, Fuel Pumps, Power Steering Hoses, Rubber Transmission Hoses, Alternator, Brake Pads and Master Cylinder, Fan Shroud, Auxiliary Water Pump for Heater, Tune up. A.C. is ice cold. Transmission shifts well and has clean fluid. All of the parts listed have less than 20K on them. Tires are three years old and have around 25k on them. The original jack and tire tool are intact, along with a new full size spare on original style rim in trunk. Original leather seats finally succumbed to the Florida sun so they have new commercial seat covers on them. Replacement leather seat covers can be purchased online as well as all other interior parts. See pictures of interior. The soft top is usable but has a few bad spots in it (See Pictures). It is original. The hard top is in great shape and the headliner looks new. Cruise control is intact but does not function. Never looked into it, never use them. Security system and automatic locking system worked when we bought the car but are not functioning now. Paint, overall the paint is in great condition for original. There are two minor dimples on the trunk lid ( See Photos) and a few scratches in the clear coat that could be buffed out (See Photos). Overall a great car and super fun to drive.
