1977 BMW Vintage "Airhead" R100/7 Motorcycle in original unmolested condition, except for handlebar turn signals. Runs perfectly with no issues. No evidence of M/C ever having been dropped. Rare Burgundy Color. New tires, brakes and new period fairing added within last two years. Recent battery, tune up and oil change. All instruments work except that analog oil pressure gauge installed with fairing needs installation of proper dual output sending unit. Seat cover slightly torn at seam, but new seat cover included in sale. Deposit of $1000 must be received within 24 hours of end of sale. Seller will accept deposit by certified or bank check sent by FEDEX overnight or by wire transfer from purchaser to seller checking account. Balance of purchase price in cash only (no checks, money orders, etc.) must be paid on or before pick-up of M/C as set forth below. Motorcycle is located in Williamsburg VA at a summer home, but I live in Warwick NY. The M/C must be paid for on or before 5:00 PM on December 31, 2012 (in either Warwick between end of auction and 12/26 or in Williamsburg from 12/27-31) at which time I will sign over the clean title. If the M/C is not paid for as above, it will be re-listed for sale. M/C must be picked-up in Williamsburg, preferably between 12/27/2012 and 1/1/2013. I will be available almost anytime during that period for pick-up in Williamsburg. (Upon mutual agreement, I can accommodate storing the Bike for a period of time in Williamsburg (without charge) once payment is made in full, if pick-up is delayed due to weather.) M/C being sold due to my lack of use these last several years. The Bike is generally not driven by me more than twice/month into town. The M/C was purchased by me from a relative with several bikes on 08/07/10. At the time it had 35000 miles. Relative owned the bike for several years, having purchased it from now defunct Vintage M/C dealership in Williamsburg named Steel Horse Motorcycles. Prior ownership unknown.
