2005 MERCURY MOUNTAINEER RUNS GREAT 84,220 MILES (may change slightly as we still use the vehicle) AUTO, A/C (front and rear), PWR WINDOWS, LOCKS, MIRRORS, DOORS CRUISE CONTROL, CLIMATE CONTROL, SPLIT-FOLD THIRD ROW SEATING TOWING PACKAGE, HEATED FRONT SEATS, TILT STEERING This is my wife's personal Mountaineer and it runs great. It has the bigger V-8 engine and the full size towing hitch. We've never pulled anything larger than my small 6x12 utility trailer to take leaves and stuff to the compost heap, and it did a great job pulling that. I just had it inspected, so it's good through November 2013 and just had the oil changed (I like to sell stuff that is ready to go). This Mountaineer is in great shape, the only known flaw is a small tear in the side of the driver seat. It is mechanically and cosmetically in great shape. Like I said, its ready to go. I would literally get in it today and drive to California and back. The mileage is 84,220 but may slightly change as we still drive and use the vehicle daily. The accident that is reported on the vehicle does not in any way effect it. It was more than four years and 40,000 miles ago and I don't even know what it was. Other than it being listed in the carfax you would never know this vehicle ever had any damage. Like I said, I just recently had it inspected in Pennsylvania, which has pretty high inspection standards, and it passed without any issues. It had to be a very minor accident that simply required towing but no major damage. You will not be disappointed in this Mountaineer, it looks and drives awesome. If I had any concerns about the vehicle I can assure you I would not put my wife and children in it. It looks and drives great with no concerns at all. It has a regular title, not a salvage title, which is another reason I believe it had to be a very minor acccident. ABSOLUTE NO RESERVE - HIGHEST BIDDER WINS - NO GAMES - NO GIMMICKS Why am I willing to "take a chance" as my wife would say on selling this Mountaineer this way. Simple. I believe that a truly open and honest no reserve auction is the absolute best example of American free markets at work. If I want to get the most interest and highest price I need to have no secrets or concerns about what I am selling and have as many people interested in buying it as possible. Any item that is a quality item, with no secrets or concerns will bring what it is truly worth at an open, honest, and fair auction. Kelly Blue Book has this Mountaineer valued at more than $10,500 based on a private party sale with its options based on a "Good" vehicle and this Mountaineer is at least "Good" or better for sure. So I hope you prove me right (I won't live it down if my wife says "I told you so") and we get close to that number, but if not, whatever it brings it brings, and if you're the high bidder you will win, even if your bid is thousands less than the KBB price. I don't believe it will be thousands less, but let the bidding begin and we'll see who is right (me or my wife). Once any bid is received, I will not end the auction for any reason and there will not be a Buy-It-Now price, like I said, it is an honest to goodness old fashioned American auction, that way everyone is treated the same and everyone has an equal chance to win.
