Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE 1973 Chevrolet Monte Carlo 2 Door Sport Coupe Landau One Family Owned Mr. Bochenek purchased this car new on 12/12/1972 from G.K. Chevrolet, Inc. in Downers Grove, IL and owned it all the way until 2010. It was then gifted to his niece Loraine. The Monte Carlo was recently acquired from Loraine’s estate. Factory Documentation includes the Original Owners Manual, Maintenance Schedule, Warranty Card, Consumer information brochure, emission control system brochure and GM storage card. On 12/23/1972 when the Monte had 80 miles on the odometer Ziebart performed their standard rust proofing procedure, which we can document with the original receipt. This sharp Tuxedo Black car just underwent a complete safety inspection plus service update and is ready for cruising. Fluids were all changed, master cylinder was replaced, two new calipers installed along with a new set of brake pads and the brake system was flushed and bleed, Air Condition system was checked and A/C was charged and a new air filter was installed. Everything on this car is in excellent running and operating order. The two plastic knobs that attach to the lever for the swivel bucket seats are missing and the compressor clutch needs to be replaced. Equipped with: Power Steering, Power Disc Brakes, Factory Air Conditioning, Swivel Bucket Seats, Full Gauges with Tachometer, Console, Floor Shift, Clock, Day/Night Mirror, Sport Mirrors with Driver side remote, Map Light, Rear Defog, Shoulder Belts and Hazard Lights. Powered by a 350ci, 175hp engine and automatic transmission (3 speed) and a factory 4-barrel carburetor. This car still has the smog pump and is running a dual exhaust. The body is very solid and has no rust issues. Paint has a very nice finish and has only a few nicks and chips from use. Chassis is solid and has no rust issues. There is only minor surface rust and road dirt and grime. Interior is like new and has a beautiful dash with no rips or cracks, seat upholstery and door panels are like new as well, carpet is in very good condition with only minor sun fade on the sides, headliner is great with no rips, tears or mouse holes. Chrome and trim are original and in very good shape with light speckles (salt & pepper) and light wear, Weather-stripping is very good and is starting to show signs of age with dryness and some splitting, Glass is all Soft Ray tinted and overall in excellent shape with only one tiny stone chip on lower portion towards the passenger side. Wheels are Progressive Custom Wheels and they have Remington Touring XT-120 radial tires mounted which are in great condition showing very minor tread wear. This era GM cars are quickly gaining traction in the collector car market and are a tremendous buy. Get in on this excellent opportunity before the market passes you up.
