This auction is for a 1969 corvette coupe.It has the numbers matching 427 big block engine in it and an automatic transmission.It is a good driver quality car.I drove it in the power tour back in june with no problems.It has power steering and power brakes.The paint is bright and shiny and looks good from 20 feet away but has a few chips scuffs up close.There are some deep scratches in one of the t tops(looks like it had the other one set on top of it).The factory paint code is 976 and trim code is z04. It does have one tooth broke off the flywheel and every 15 or 20 starts lands on that spot and you have to turn the flywheel a tooth or two to start the car.The bad spot on the flywheel has made the starter sound horrible when starting. I have a new flywheel and starter that go with the car.I have replaced all of the power steering components except the cylinder and it is leaking.The inside door handle on the drivers door doesn't work.There is one 3 inch crack right behind the front left wheel and the headlights and wiper cover don't work.these don't work because of a manual overide valve under the steering column that has a nipple broke off.The local mechanic will install the flywheel and starter for 100.00 if the winning bidder wants.It will start and run like it is.It is a great dailey driver with a little tinkering or a great car to restore to show quality. On Dec-06-12 at 10:05:53 PST, seller added the following information: I did go ahead and have the new flywheel and new starter installed. Just for the record.The headlights and wipers do work. The headlights just don't go down and the wiper cover doesn't close.This is because of a vacume leak under the steering column. Also the tack doesn't work because it is unhooked at the distrubutor because the car has an hei distributor that doesn't have a cable tack drive.
