I purchased this car brand new from my local BMW dealer in 2002. It has never been in an accident, and never suffered any major mechanical problems or damage. I am a middle-aged professional and I commuted to work in this car (mostly highway). The car has 87,145 original miles. The car has a clear title - no paint work, no body repairs, no major engine repairs. I ordered this car with the following options -BMW Navigation system, 16:9 color widescreen LCD in dash with DVD-GPS in the trunk, in-dash cassette (MP3 player connection add-on available from many suppliers) -BMW bi-Xenon (low and high beam) HID headlights with auto-leveling -Sport package. This includes larger wheels, low profile tires, sport 3-spoke steering wheel, sport suspension (firmer shocks, lowered ride height), sport seats with adjustable thigh support, sport front bumper -Harman Kardon Sound system option (better speakers, more of them, special amps, etc) -Titanium silver metallic exterior -Black leatherette interior, with silver aluminum accents The car has many standard features -2.5L 6-cylinder engine -Power steering -Power locks -Drive by wire throttle -Front and side airbags -Power mirrors -Cruise control -Stability control with ABS brakes -4 wheel disk brakes with wear sensors This car has been relatively trouble free. The oil has been changed regularly as per BMW recommendations (even more regularly than recommended, actually). BMW's have some common problems which have already been repaired on this car. The following items have been fixed on the car -New alternator (common BMW problem) -New battery (common BMW problem) -Front suspension bushings replaced (common BMW problem) -Front a-arms with ball joints replaced (preventative maintenance) -Sway bar end links replaced (preventative maintenance) -CACV oil separator replaced with upgraded model (common BMW problem) -Front wheel bearings replaced (common BMW problem) -Tires and brakes replaced -Window motor regulator replaced (common BMW problem) -Windshield was just replaced this week (professionally installed) In addition, the car has LEGAL 35% window tint that was professionally applied when the car was new. One of the front turn signal housings was cracked by a rock chip, so I replaced them both with clear housings and amber LED bulbs. The car currently has Elbrus wheels installed with Michelin X-Ice Xi3 tires. These tires have one season of use on them and still have very good tread remaining. I am also including the OEM wheels which have Kumho Ecsta ASX tires with about half their tread remaining. One of these tires has a puncture, however. The spare tire is brand new and in the car. I am also including a Peake R5 scan tool which can read trouble codes, reset the service light, and more. The car is in overall very good condition. There are some blemishes in the paint, some scratches, couple of small dings/paint bubbles, etc. Nothing major. There is a crack in the passenger side mirror cover (silver portion, visible in pictures). I have a replacement cover that comes with the car (they come unpainted). There is a wear hole in the leather boot around the shifter and parking brake, and a scratch in the driver seat. Everything in the car works. It starts perfectly every time, runs great, smooth and quiet, has good power and great handling, and a smooth quiet ride. It has been well maintained. The only reason I am selling this car is because I have already purchased another car and decided to sell this one privately. CONDITIONS OF SALE =================== -You are responsible for picking up the car. I cannot transport it or deliver it (we can meet locally to complete the sale, but I can't transport it any major distance for you) -Payment must be completed in full within 10 days from end of auction. -I also have the car listed for sale locally -Payment by cash only. No checks, no payment plans, etc. If you do not want to carry cash with you, we can meet at your bank and I will sign over the title upon payment -The car has a clean title, single owner. On Dec-08-12 at 07:12:25 PST, seller added the following information: EDIT: -The tires on the car are Michelin X-Ice Xi2 tires, not Xi3. -I was asked about the scratches. I am the kind of person who parks at the empty part of the parking lot. And at work, I have my own spot. The car does not have the kind of scratches and dings that most cars of this age would have... it has one tiny little ding above the "325i" on the trunk lid, and it has a couple of light scratches in the driver door and rear door on the driver side.... like someone squeezed past the car in a parking lot and a zipper on their pants scratched the door. I think the scratch is just a surface scratch and could be removed completely by buffing. There are a few chips on the front from rocks on the highway. The paint looks shiny and glossy in the pictures because that's how it is in person. -I have the original owners manual, and the DVD that came with it. I have a few other little parts that go with it... a spare brake rotor, and I bought but never installed clear side marker lenses. You get those too. -It also has the "on board computer" option (which gives MPG historical data, temperature, miles to empty, etc). This can be displayed on the small display on the dashboard, or on the navigation screen
