Vehicle Detail

This Saab came from Montana, and even though it has roughly 150,000 miles, there is virtually no rust on the car. That is because Montana doesn't salt its roads like we do here in Minnesota. Over Thanksgiving weekend I drove to Iowa City and back with no snags, and that was about 650 miles I drove... The car sits on 4 new Hankook winter tires, perfect for the snow that is yet to fall. Car also has a block heater which is a nice accessory for cold winters. The car is a four door sedan, the seats are all leather and the color is gunmetal grey. It has a very rare factory spoiler option for the 4 door. The car gets about 23mpg in the city and 26mpg on the highway, which is not bad for a 2.0L 16V DOHC Turbo engine... I have installed a Swedish Dynamics Red Box APC controller which ups the horsepower by 40hp, which is quite a bit, and have changed the fuel pressure regulator to a 3.0 bar by Bosch, to complete what many people call a 'Stage 1' upgrade. This also included an injector update, wherein injectors from the 1994 Saab and up were used. These are more efficient injectors and flow at a higher rate. The car was retrofitted to R134 for the AC by the Saab dealership in Billings, MT. This means you can go to your parts store and buy a recharge kit for the AC and recharge it yourself for $20 when Summer rolls around. The AC works just fine. The headliner, as is the case with most Saabs, is not in great shape but is not hanging down and flapping in your face. The stereo is the factory Clarion Stereo which consists of the head unit on top and an amplifier/equalizer unit down by the shifter. These are both factory accesories, even though the radio does not turn on. Heat blows warm. Car has a 1 year old battery. The car is an automatic. Recent work on it include: new head, new head gasket, new top end, all of that costing $1800 to replace. You won't need to change any of those parts for what will most likely be another 150,000 miles. New spark plugs, spark plug wires, rotor and cap. New brake pads. New brake fluid after full system flush. Recent oil change and transmission fluid flush, as of two weeks ago. Oil is 0w-30w full synthetic. Wash and wax on 11/17/2012 Clean title and tabs not needed until late next year. Insurance is really cheap on this car because it is safe and built like a tank.
