I am selling my 1996 Lexus ES300. This car has been really great to me as I have been the owner of the car for the past 4 years. My aunt is the one who gave the car to me so it has been in the family for years. The reason why I am selling is that there are just too many issues with it that I can't fix even though I am sure that if I knew a lot about cars it would be easier. Mileage on the car is 308,002. The first thing I must state is that the car does run and it still turns on like a champ. It seems like the engine has a lot of life still in it and battery is about a year or so old. As for the rest of the car, I won't lie its pretty much a complete fixer upper or might just be better off being scrapped for parts. The car has several leaks including an oil leak and something wrong with the antifreeze. It drips out a lot and very quickly. I don't know if its a hose or if there is a crack in the radiator but something is definitely wrong. The car also has two lights on: the brake light and the check engine light. The windshield has a quarter size crack in the top passenger side due to a rock hitting it from a truck. The passengers side door does not open and there is also a larger dent on the passenger side of the door due to someone hitting it pulling out of a parking space. The drivers side seat is ripped really badly (needs to be replaced entirely) The back of the car raddles a bit but that has happened since I had the car and doesnt effect how the car drives. The tires are ok - Three of these tires are fairly new just purchased in April of 2012. There are probably a few other things that I am missing but I'm not going to try to lie to anyone and say that there is anything perfect about this car other than the fact that it still turns on like a champ. I would honestly guess with someone who knows what they are doing they could fix this car up and get some more life from it, but I am not 100% sure. This car is being sold as is.
