Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my custom 1989 Jeep Wrangler YJ. The engine in the Jeep is a mild built small block 350. RV Cam, .30 over, etc. Engine was freshened less than 50 hours ago. Backing the SBC, is a turbo 350 transmission that was rebuilt less than 10 hours ago, and has a brand new torque converter. The trans does have a B&M shift kit that works perfectly, but nothing extreme. Bringing up the rear is a 231 transfer case, with a SYE slip yoke eliminator, and a Tom Woods rear drive shaft. This package runs strong, and has no weird vibes or sounds! The front suspension is a SOA lift, and the rear is a very well done 4 link coil spring conversion. I believe the front axle to be a stock Dana 30, and the rear to be a Dana 44 from a Scout. Both front and rear are locked, with 4:10 gears. The front also has a differential guard as well. The suspension performs really well both on and off road, with no death wobble or excessive play. The tub over all is in great shape. It is NOT perfect, but it is close. There is no major rust on this Jeep anywhere, And I only found one small hole which is pictured below, and looks more like a tear to me. Most of the undercoating is still in tact, and the frame is solid in all of the usual YJ rot spots. This thing really is pretty impressive. The interior is nice, and certainly usable for daily driving, if that's your goal. It has all new gauges, which look and perform great. It does not have a speedometer, or odometer how ever, and will be sold true miles unknown. The under dash heater works surprisingly well, and kept my wife happy on our 50*F cruise today. The seats are Bestop, and are in great shape. The top is Bestop as well, and less than a year old. The roll bar has thankfully never been tested, but was built for function and safety. The GPS unit acted as the speedo, and worked fine until today. I am sure the problem is something minor, and I will report back when it is resolved. The Jeep has always been a pleasure to own, and drive. It is very reliable, and I have always made any repairs needed with longevity in mind. Any Jeep enthusiast would be pleased to own it. I strongly encourage prospect buyers to come take a look, and even drive before biding. A $500 deposit will be due within 48 hours of auction end, and the balance due within 7 days of auction end, unless otherwise agreed upon prior to bidding. I have the ability to ship this coast to coast, feel free to contact me for a quote. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. The Jeep will be sold without reserve, and I'd love to make someone a great deal on a good Jeep. Good Luck! Call or txt at ANY hour, 616-375-3230. We also put on new belts today. It is fixed and ready to go. On Dec-08-12 at 19:08:52 PST, seller added the following information: UPDATE: I have had many questions about the rocker guards, and "nerf bars". I assure you the back side of the tub behind these are very solid. These were added to aid the previous owners wife in entering the Jeep, and not to cover up tub rot like many others. The tub is not show quality, but it is about as close to flawless for a YJ as you can get. I welcome any bidders to inspect it tomorrow, I will be available all day. Thanks again, and good luck! There is no reserve, and this Jeep will go to the high bidder!
