I am sad to say that I am being forced to sell my 1971 Ford F250 Camper Special. I purchased this truck to finish the restoration job someone else had started, but too many projects have prevented me from doing so. This truck has great potential given some time and attention. I have a clean Florida title in hand and I have been told I am the 4th owner of this vehicle. The truck even still has the original license plate on the front. The truck has a 360ci V-8 with (easy conversion to a 390 if you like) C6 auto transmission, Dana 60 rear end (3.73 gears), front disc brakes, sliding rear window, toolbox, twin fuel tanks, power steering and factory A/C. I recently replaced the plugs, wires, and distributor cap. The carb (stock) was also recently rebuilt and the battery is less than 6 months old. The previous owner fixed a bunch of rust and primed the entire body for paint. The lower moldings are intact, but never re-installed (they are in the toolbox). The truck does need a little bit of work. A branch fell on it about a month ago, breaking the windshield and putting a dent in the roof of the cab. There is some rust in the lower corners of the door and surface rust in the bed. The exhaust manifold does have a leak, but that is an easy fix. I also only have the fuel cap key for the cab tank, not for the auxillary tank, although it would be easy to replace the cap so that you can use both tanks. This truck runs and drives fine, but I would strongly suggest replacing the windshield before driving. This auction is NO RESERVE. Please keep in mind the mouldings alone are with about $200.
