Vehicle Detail

I have a 1989 toyota pickup for sale. I bought it over the summer and was going to use it as a project/play toy. When I bought the truck all it needed, supposedly, was a timing belt and water pump. Well, needless to say, it needed more than that to get it running. I have gotten it running and when I went to change the alternator it jumped timing. The reason it jumped timing was due to the fact that I took the distributor out and it spun just a little bit before I could get it back in. With that being said, these motors are non interference motors, meaning they won't be in harm if it were to jump timing or the timing belt break while you are driving, the motor would shut off and not start back up until it was in time. Now, I got the motor back in time but it has no power and I am going to be taking it to my mechanic to get it back in time to where it would run like it did before I pulled the distributor. (IF I HAVE TIME BEFORE IT SELLS) When it was running before I changed the alternator, it would run 55mph fine down the road, but wouldn't go any faster and would slow down to about 40mph going up a slight incline. I drove this truck, for about a month or two, like that to and from work (about 20-40 miles round trip.) I say 20-40 because I can't remember if it is 10 miles one way or 20. The truck doesn't have A/C but it does have the components, just needs converted and charged. The truck doesn't have heat either, I haven't needed it so it wasn't on my "to do" list for it. It has two VERY SMALL oil leaks, one is the rear main seal (I THINK), the other is the valve cover gaskets. I have purchased the valve cover gaskets, just haven't had time to put them on, they will come with the truck. The truck has a brand new timing belt, water pump, thermostat, alternator, belts, plugs, wires, knock sensor and knock sensor wire and two new CV axle shafts. It does have a Flowmaster delta 50 series muffler that I bought from a buddy of mine. He had it on his 2nd gen tacoma for about a year. He didn't like the dual setup on it because of the tips being above the rear leaf springs. I have it set up to where the exhaust dumps right over the axle before the spare tire. I just recently serviced the AUTOMATIC transmission; that's fluid and filter along with new fluid in the transfer case. All of this has been done withing 500-1000 miles. I am sure that I have missed something but I do have ALL the receipts from the stuff that has been purchased. I DO HAVE THE TITLE IN HAND! The tires are about 50-60% left. They are BFG A/T KO's, 31x10.50x15. Like I said before I was going to use this as a project/play toy. I have used it as a play toy in the woods but nothing serious. This truck has not been sunk or "abused" like other play toys. This truck has surprised me for being stock with no lockers, I haven't gotten stuck in it, even with the street tires that were on it before I got the A/T's. I can post some videos of it on here to show you that It hasn't been "abused" like every other play toy. I am a detailer, so everytime that I got home from taking it in the woods, either that day or the next, I pressure washed out from underneath the truck to get the mud out from under it so it wouldn't ruin any rubber hoses, seals, anything of that nature. The inside on the other hand is a bit dirty. It can use a cleaning and IF I HAVE TIME, I will try to get it cleaned up for the buyer. If you want to see the video of where I usually go, feel free to send me your email through the Private Messages. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I will be more than happy to deliver the truck up to 100 miles for no cost if it meets the reserve or buy it now. If over the 100 miles, then it will be $.50 cents a mile after. IMMEDIATE DEPOSIT OF $500 due at end of auction. If not sent within 24hrs, the truck will be reposted due to non-payment. The deposit is not refundable.
