Properly stored year round and only driven in good weather. 1989 Corvette Coupe - 35000 orig. miles - THAT IS 1 OF ONLY 18 EVER BUILT AND HERE IS WHY - It is Dark Charcoal Metallic with - 6 speed, 1st year of the FX3 ride control, Sport Seats - Gray ( 1/219 ) , UJ6 Low Tire Pressure Sensor System, Delco Bose CD System, Climate Control a/c, and Z51 Performance Handling Package, which included a heavy duty suspension, faster steering ratio, heavy duty radiator, and radiator boost fan. According to sources, this car was also a ZR1 prototype that had every option of the ZR1, but the ZR1 was not introduced till 90. It has been spoken by GM employees that they were in a rush to get the ZR1 out in 89 but were having trouble finalizing the engine specs, hence the prototype status. It has never been in accident, modified in any way whatsoever, or driven in bad weather. For those Corvette purists, it is definitely a must have. It is ready for shows, look at it, or enjoy it on Sundays. The Dark Charcoal Metallic paint shines and sparkles like new. The moldings, handles, window glass, lettering, rubber seals, and all other exterior features are in exceptional condition. The wheels have no abuse and the Yokohama S drive W rated tires are almost new. Never run through an automatic car wash and always hand washed / waxed are a great part as to why it still looks so fabulous. I have all of the books / literature that go with her too. The exterior is a strong 9.75 / 10. On the inside, the Dove Gray interior still looks, feels, and maintains that newer appeal. As you can see in the pics, the seats have always been covered, and the floor mats have mats over the mats. The door panels, carpeting, dash, center console, faceplates, etc. are original. All of the interior buttons / switches ( power windows, door locks, cruise, and 6 way power seats ) work without issue. All of the dash cluster gauges are lit and function. The stereo system still plays perfect. I also have the orig passenger side dash cover that goes with. The undercarriage is dry, spotless, and rust free too. Inside, it is a 9.9 / 10. Mechanically, it starts, idles, and drives smoothly as a "well-oiled" machine should. All of the servicing is up to date - super cold a/c, belts, hoses, fluids all changed / maintained at the proper intervals, The engine compartment is extra clean / dry, and it performs without hesitation. Of course, the L98 - 250 hp engine has great pick-up, and with 6 speed Z51 performance set up you get a little more "pop" when you pull away. The clutch engages easily and shifts super smooth. The FX3 and Z51 set this car very far apart from the regular Coupes. Drive it and you will notice the difference immediately. No doubt the next owner will have years of trouble free use and people will turn their heads when you drive by.
