Model Overview from Chevrolet: The Chevrolet Corvette gets more power for 2008. The new version of the standard aluminum-block V8 in the Corvette coupe and convertible models now displaces 6.2 liters and is rated at 430 horsepower--30 horsepower more than last year's 6.0-liter engine--and 424 ft-lbs of torque. The engine gets a number of design changes, including a new intake manifold that yields a more refined sound. Top speed is now 190 mph. The Corvette comes with three suspension choices, which allow it to be everything from a comfortable grand-tourer to an edgy, track-ready machine. The standard suspension is tuned for a balance of comfort and performance. Next up is the Magnetic Selective Ride Control suspension, which uses sophisticated electronics and magnetically reactive fluid-filled dampers to provide a comfortable ride but tighten its responses when needed. Additional Information from Current Owner This car is in excellent condition. It is a custom-ordered National Corvette Museum delivery car with the factory build sheet and window sticker. According to web research, it is a 1 of 1, as built, for the year 2008. All of the museum delivery paperwork is included with the purchase. Three pictures taken at the Museum are included in this listing. Includes a Kenwood 9140 head unit with Garmin NAV, bluetooth, HD, am/fm, CD, DVD and Ipod interface, all controlled on a 7" color LCD screen with voice or touch control. Car has On-Star capability (subscription required). Also has XM satellite radio receiver, but it is disconnected so that the Kenwood HD, am/fm could be activated. All 4 Goodyear run flat tires have at least 3/16th inch tread depth remaining, showing even wear across the width of all four treads. One very, very small chip on hood (about size of a pinhead). Small scratch between the spokes on two of the wheels. Probably flying road debris. No curb rash on the wheels. No accidents. No track days. Purchase also includes brand new car cover. Includes the original CD radio that was removed. Also includes the stock sway bars and bushings since we upgraded to Z51 sway bars which is a nice combination with the F55 option. Car also has a 50 state ULEV decal. See photo. Vehicle history will show a "title correction". Added my wife's name to the title. Believe that was smart of me to do. And my wife says that, also. When I added my wife's name to the title, the NC DMV added a "0" in the mileage causing the actual mileage figure of "2136" to read "21036". We pointed the error out and they did a mileage correction on the title. This is shown in the vehicle history. The car was only two months old at the time.
