----- This is the second auction, as the reserve was not reached last week. I've lowered the reserve $500, and I'm quite certain this will be a very good deal for the right person. ------ I inherited this Jeep from my father, who was the original owner in 2002. I've been the only owner since then.The Jeep is not in perfect condition, but I believe it would be a good value for someone into Jeeps who was capable of minor tinkering.The straight six 4.0L engine is solid.Tires are high quality, in good shape. No mechanical issues, although the "check engine" light has been on for many years. A local mechanic cited a sensor that would be a few hundred dollars.I've replaced over the years: radiator, brakes, tires, battery, a few different suspension related components, and changed the oil regularly. The largest problem is the rear tailgate has a broken lower hinge. This is a pain and would need to be dealt with to enjoy the Jeep. I also think a new soft top would be nice. I replaced the original around 5 years ago, from BestTop, at around $400. This one is getting beat now. The clear panels are a bit foggy, and a zipper on the back has a broken handle and is inconvenient. They also stretch over time and become looser and noisier. The drivers seat belt receptor is not working and should be replaced. There is some minor rust, although the body is solid. I'm going to put a very low reserve to reflect the cost of these minor repairs. ---Looks like ebay charges for "successful listing" now. I remembered it being by sale, so please only bid if your a serious buyer, as I'll be charged for any bid that meets the reserve regardless of completed sale. Thanks. I just drove 6 hours and back to visit family over Thanksgiving and didn't think twice about it, had no problems. Recently inspected, runs and drives just fine. No mechanical issues whatsoever.
