For sale a 1984 AMC Eagle Limited. The AMC Eagle was one of the first of the modern car-based SUVs and was revolutionary for it's time. I bought this car a few years ago for a project and haven't had the time, money or location to do it justice. Shortly my family will outgrow the 5 seatbelts in this car, so it’s time for it to go. If, after reading my description, you have any questions, please ask before bidding. Thanks for viewing! This 1984 AMC Eagle Limited does run and drive and has been recently registered in Nevada. It does have 4WD (4 Wheel Drive, 4x4, All Wheel Drive), the in-line 6 cylinder 258 cu-in (4.2 L) engine, 155,000 miles, auto transmission (which has a slow leak, so don't plan on driving it home). The 258 is a common engine, which AMC-Jeep also used in contemporary Jeeps, so parts aren't too hard to get or too expensive. Included in auction some new and used parts: exhaust pipes/ muffler, an extra transfer case (used), new hood release cable, left taillight (used), hose for the load leveling system, 1984 Eagle repair manual. ***Has a (rare) factory-installed load leveling system. (It's a small air compressor mounted under the hood that supplies air-adjustable rear shocks. The compressor appears to work, but I haven't actually tried to make any adjustments - may need new shocks or to repair the air lines).*** This car is more or less complete, but needs some love. This car had tons of potential, but it’s no longer a viable project for me. I’ve tried to be as honest and straight-forward as possible, but keep in mind this car is nearly 30 years old and not my daily driver, so I may have neglected some minor point. Please ask any and all questions PRIOR to bidding. Administrative mumbo-jumbo: As I stated above, I haven't actually used this car much, so I offer no kind of warranty. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs or pick-up. The car is as is, where is. I can arrange delivery for $1/ mile (payment for the car and shipping due before I move the car) up to 350 miles. Must be picked up within 14 days of the end of the auction unless we can mutually agree on other arrangements. Any applicable tax, title or other fees are the responsibility of the buyer. Non-refundable down payment via Paypal of $250 due within 24 hours of the end of the auction, the remained due before I load the car to bring it to you or when you pick it up or within 7 days, whichever comes first.
