1978 Ford LTD Country Squire Station Wagon I am listing this for my parents. This rare Ford Country Squire is nearly 100% original. My folks are the second owner, and have had the vehicle since 1986. The vehicle has sun damage to the exterior, as well as body work damage to the left front fender, and rust around the right side fender turning light. Correct replacement vinyl for both the dark wood grain (Colonial Teak) and the lighter trim can be easily obtained from http://www.stripeman.com/mm5/merchant.mvc . The vehicle was last ran two years ago, with all electrical items functioning. I believe the engine is the larger 460. The car uses unleaded gas. Tires are appx. 4 years old, with under 1000 kms wear on them. The interior is in good, original condition. The stereo system is AM/FM/8-track, being one of the last years for that combinaton. I do believe my folks may still have an 8-track to cassette converter, also! This was a non-smoking car. Power Windows, Steering, Door Locks, and Front Bench Seat. Air Conditioning and Cruise control. The rear side-facing folding seats in the cargo compartment are currently removed, but with the car. As this is a Canadian market car, the speedometer and odometer are in kilometers. The kilometers on the car are 111602.5. The car was used mainly to pull the family trailer back and forth to a campground within 200 km's from their home. The body is in fair shape, with some minor surface rust, as well as the previously mentioned front fender damage (Dad hit a fire hydrant at the end of the driveway, twice...).
