Vehicle Detail

For sale is my 1987 Chevrolet R10. Currently, I have two vehicles, and it is going to be much more affordable for me to own/drive only one. I bought the truck originally so I could have a vehicle to transport all my belongings. The Good: 1987 is the only year they made the R10 model of these trucks. It was also the only year that they equipped the short-and-wide models with TBI 5.7L 350’s, and this particular truck has a full list of options. There is almost no rust! The undercarriage, frame, wheel wells etc are all rust free. Few problem areas discussed below. Great looking truck overall. Has a hot rod look with a great stance and wheel/tire combination. Probably around a 4/6 or 5/7 drop with drop springs/spindles up front and flip kit in the rear (C-notched). Wheels are 17in Torq Thrust II’s with newer tires. The color compliments the look well and is often commented on. I’ve had a number of people approach me and ask about the truck; if it’s for sale, where I got it from, what I want to do with it, etc. In addition, it has a billet grill and all the trim options. It also comes equipped with power breaks, power steering, power windows/locks, and A/C (not working). Inside, the interior is in good condition. The carpet and seat don’t have any rips or tears, and almost no stains. The dash is cracked on the top but is covered by an attractive looking dash cover. Also, the truck comes with a stereo deck, two 6x9 speakers behind the seat, and two kicker panel speakers. Sounds great and has AUX hook up/CD player and FM/AM radio. The headliner hangs a little, and the door panels are faded/scratched in places. Overall, a clean interior. The engine is cammed, with what looks like an aftermarket/aluminum intake, headers, valve covers, and potentially many other aftermarket parts. Not sure to be honest. The truck is equipped with a dual exhaust system and flowmasters. There isn’t any lack of power, and at idle the truck sounds amazing. It has an aggressive, lopey sound. The motor had what I thought was a knock, but it was verified by a mechanic that the issue is probably a miss because the noise comes and goes. I've been driving the truck around since I last listed it, and it drives/operates VERY reliably. Starts up on cold mornings, stays cool, and oil pressure is fine. The Not so Good Rusted through spot on the lower cab corner, driver’s side. A little bit of rust on the back of the cab around the trim piece and window weather stripping. This is the only rust I’ve identified since I’ve owned it. The body is in good shape, and straight. Paint is not in the best condition. Some chipping on the front of the hood, a bit faded in some spots, and scratches/dings here and there. The worst part would have to be the inside of the bed, and the top of bed corners. The A/C system is in newer condition, but the compressor has some kind of issue where it won’t engage. Instead, the belt just slips over the compressor clutch. I had it working at one point, but right now the A/C does not work. Has a small vacuum leak that you can hear when you apply the brakes. Overall: I know these trucks, especially with this look are popular, and I see why. It’s been a good vehicle that I drove over a 1,000 miles after two moves in the past two months. During that time it drove reliably, and is really a joy to cruise in/drive. It is one of those vehicles that gets a lot of looks and attention, so hopefully there is a buyer out there that can enjoy it as much as I have. The truck is only available for pick-up, and I am accepting CASH ONLY. Thanks to anyone interested.
