Vehicle Detail

For sale is a 1970 VW Bug. I did have this listed before and thought it was sold but the fuel pump picked a timely time to take a dump so i am listing the car again, same story, I bought this car 4 months before Hurricane Katrina hit houston Texas. I had it shipped up to michigan where it is currently. I bought this car for my step whom wanted an old school bug, once he went to dads house his dream car changed because of no power breaks and no air bags, then car has sat the entire time mostly indoors in a heated garage, when it did spend the night outside at a repair shop somebody busted the windsheild, so yes when you restore this car you will need to replace the windsheild. The car runs, it just starts hard there is no choke hooked up to it right now, but the car runs pretty good once warmed up, no rattles or knocks can be detected. The bottom line on this, I do not make selling cars a hobby or as a living, I just need to make room for my other projects like my daughters toys in the garage. I am older now and my knee's hurt so working on this has become a challenge. I have set the reserve low so that this bug will go this round. I am done playing games with this. This is what I know needs to be done to the car for sure : 1) needs a good tune up, and choke hooked up. 2) needs tires and breaks all around 4 corners (car pulld real hard to right when breaks are used) 3) needs a windsheild 4) yes it does need floor boards they are original, the channels are strong and in pretty good shape, no need to replace them in my opinion. 5) needs an oil change 6) I have no idea of what else at this time, it is an old car so your guess is as good as mine at this point, but it runs, it rolls, it shifts nicely. The list is not real big but is highly suggested before you drive off, the car will have to be towed, breaks pull hard to the right huge when break pedal is depressed, the tires have the checking on the sidewalls which tells me you could and most likely would have a blow out. I will not let you drive this car away! selling a car to a person is a transaction, sleeping at night because I was honest is very important to me! This car is a real good car to restore you could do smaller floor patches for awhile to get by if you really wanted to but with the kits they have out to do the floor pans why not? if you have any questions please feel free to contact me at anytime, i will return your questions as soon as possible. now the noramal stuff, I will not pay for shipping, you buy it you ship it at your cost not mine, I have no idea how much it cost to ship this car from point A to point B, nor will i find out, you buy it you do it. lol dont mean to sound like a bad person but just sold a GoKart of my daughters and nobody reads what you print on here it gets rough after a while. Once acution is closed the winner shall pay a 500 deposit with in 24 hrs of close of auction. new E-bayers with no or very little feedback need to contact me first before bidding. I want this car gone this time around people it is gonna snow and i am not shoveling around it! so lets get this started and thanks : ) On Nov-05-12 at 12:20:37 PST, seller added the following information: I just added 3 more pic's from my cell phone. I did the best I could do right now for some kind of pic of the floor boards sorry but the best I can get for now, as you can see where the battery is (typical) there is a small hole, the rest is not bad but really should be replaced and why not with the kits they have out not to hard to do, the other pic is of the beam, I cant get a pic of the tubes going from side to side to much stuff in the way oil cooler and such, but it looks to be pretty solid. I tried to open the front hood and I need to work on that it does not open as it should right now. I will attempt to fix that so it will open but I make no promises as to if i can fix this or not before the auction ends or after. I will simply attempt to, this car is for sale as is condition. I was told to add that lol sorry i dont make a living selling cars. Thanks and happy bidding Tom
