Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1986 Honda Big Red 250 3 wheeler, I took it as a trade for some labor and don't know a lot about it, nor do I have the time to mess with it, I put a new spark plug in it but it wouldn't start. The rear tires won't spin so I'm thinking brakes or bearings are locked up but I don't know for sure, also there was no battery in it when I got it, so I tried to kick start it, it seems to have pretty good compression but it won't fire. The frame, rims, forks, suspension, tank, and plastic are all in pretty decent shape for the year, no leaks in the gas tank, surface rust on the racks. It was stored inside a heated pole building when I picked it up, the guy said it ran when they parked it 20 years ago, but who knows? I have set the reserve pretty low, and I am offering "buy it now" at a price low enough that you could part it out and still make a profit, but I know from selling on ebay in the past that there's always some genius asking the question "what's the lowest you'll take for it just let me know and I'll bring the money now", well sorry use the buy it now if you want it or place a bid, I know just the parts are worth the reserve but if it doesn't hit the reserve I'll scrap it before I start parting it out. There is a scratch on the tank which can be seen in the picture and one very small dent just to the right and below the scratch, but all things considered it has the potential as a restoration project. Happy bidding! On Nov-10-12 at 08:09:45 PST, seller added the following information: I had a buy it now price on this listing of $350 and once the first bid was placed it went away. I called ebay and spoke with a guy in India named "Rick" he said that because I selected auction style listing if the first bid placed was not for the buy it now price that the buy it now option goes away and that this is supposedly in accordance with federal guidelines. I've seen other auctions with multiple bids that still have the buy it now option displayed so I don't know what to think. I appologize for any confusion this may have caused. Thanks for your time in viewing my listing.
