Owned by the same family for 50 years on a farm in St.Louis County, MO. I purchased it running in 2002 and have restored it to as near original condition. Original engine, transmission, the truck had 38,xxx miles on it when I got it in 2002, now has 39,xxx. Truck has 100% original sheet metal, tailgate, grille, doors, fenders, cab corners, all original. No rust and no filler used in restoration. Being on the farm most of its life, it saw very little road use and exposure to salt. A one man body shop in Nixa, MO. did a complete dis-assembly down to the cab for painting . I have pictures of the restoration process. Repairs I have done include replacement of all gas lines and gas tank, replaced rear engine main seal, rebuilt carburetor, all glass including the chrome window frames including front and rear windshields and moldings. The wood bed, front and rear bumpers were replaced. I didn't replace the painted front grille as this original was in perfect shape, just needed repainting. Even has the original chrome hubcaps are on the truck to give you some idea how well kept the truck was. It gets a lot of looks and comments at some of the car shows I have attended. The original 216 cu.in 6 is in great shape, starts easily and idles smooth. The 3 speed manual is easy shifting, clutch and brakes are good. Tires are the original tube type, 700 X 15 on split rims. Does not use oil. I continue to use the lead additive in the gas. The paint on the truck is fantastic, no wrinkles on any sheet metal. With all this being said, I will put a very reasonable reserve on the truck, and would like for someone else to enjoy driving and using as much as I have. I am not replacing this with any other car or truck, so if you pay sales or registration tax on the purchase price, I can work with you on this. If you are within a days drive of this area, I would suggest you come see and drive for yourself. Interior restored, headliner, seat, all gauges work and are lit.
