Vehicle Detail

1966 Dodge Coronet 440 Convertible 1966 Dodge Coronet 440 Convertible Classic Autoworx is a licensed and bonded vehicle brokerage that has specialized in Classics, Muscle Cars, Exotics and Special Interest Vehicles since 2008. We acquire vehicles on behalf of buyers Worldwide. We have a client and customer list that spans the Globe. You can count on our integrity and customer service as a staple of each transaction. Classic Autoworx presents this beautifully restored and tastefully upgraded 1966 Dodge Coronet Convertible your consideration. This car started life as a 318 powered car, now sporting a 440ci 4v V8, therefore it is not #’s matching. This beautiful car was restored 3 years ago and has been driven very little since. It is ready for a new owner to drive and enjoy. Please view the photos of this beautiful vehicle and contact me if you’d like a link to the video. If you have any questions feel free to call or email us. Body / Paint: The paint on this vehicle presents nicely and is a deep original color “Patriot Blue”, good quality multi stage paint. Paint condition is good, with all jambs matching in color and condition. This car glows beautifully in the sun. The paint is good upon close inspection, no chips or scratches that were noted. Body panels and sheet metal appear to be original, never been wrecked. Rust free. All stainless trim and bumpers are highly polished and in excellent condition. All rubber seals / weatherstripping and felts have been replaced. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Interior: The interior in the vehicle is in great shape and appears to be mostly, if not all, original. Info received from a helpful eBayer indicates that this interior is not likely original to this car but likely a similar year Charger. Information gathered indicates that the 440 model was a column shift vehicle with a bench seat, where, as you can see this car now has a console and an automatic with a floor/console shifter. In our opinion, the bucket seats and console/floor shifter is an upgrade over the bench seat / column shifter configuration due to comfort and aesthetics. The upholstery, door panels, sun visors, door handles, dash trim, all nice as can be. Needs nothing but a new driver! All lights and gauges seem to work. Fuel gauge reads in reverse, according to seller. The interior looks beautiful and is fully functional. This is the type of vehicle that you can get in, hit the key and drive comfortably. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Engine/Transmission: Powered by a rebuilt and low mileage 440ci V8, the donor vehicle for the engine and transmission is unknown. Has a nice little RV cam in it add a little rumble out the factory tail pipes. A new Edelbrock 4v carb has been recently added. Very clean engine compartment. The transmission is a 727 Torque Flite, also not original to this vehicle, but it is a very stout upgrade to go with the 440. Rear end is an 8 ¾”. Unknown gear ratio. No howling, or abnormal noises. Engine and transmission have both been rebuilt by the previous owner, however there is no documentation that was given with the car. Custom dual exhaust system featuring high flow turbo mufflers has been added and it sounds great. Runs and drives real nice. What a great cruiser this car is. Excellent for a weekend drive or a little cruise around town. Should provide years of enjoyment with continued proper care and service! Brakes, Steering, Suspension and Structure: The brake system on this beautiful car was rebuilt 3 years ago. It features drum brakes up front and drum brakes in the rear. Stops as well as intended originally and straight. Steering components look good and some components look to have been rebuilt / replaced as needed during restoration with high quality products. There are no rust issues that were uncovered during visual inspection. Everything looks solid and the sub frame, pans, trunk and all underside components look to be in great shape. Jambs and Trunk: The jambs are all finished beautifully throughout the car. As you can see, the trunk is rust and damage free and spare tire and original refurbished jack assembly are included with the car. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you are seriously interested in this beautiful 1966 Dodge Coronet Convertible and would like to speak regarding a serious offer, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
