Vehicle Detail

1971 Dodge Demon More photos below 1971 Dodge Demon 1971 Dodge Demon – mildly built 340ci – 904 slapstick Automatic - Rust-free Southwest car! Numbers-matching 318 engine and trans included! Broadcast sheet & Fender tag! Demon currently has a 340 engine built by the previous owner. Ported and Polished 202 J Heads, Bored .30 over, Forged TRW Pistons 10.5:1, Comp Cam 501 lift / 282 duration / degreed in tight, new double roller timing chain & gears, new Melling high-volume oil pump, Holley high volume mechanical fuel pump, Anti-pump up Lifters, Flow-Kooler water pump, 90 degree oil filter relocater, Steel crank, Mopar Electronic Ignition, Brass Freeze plugs, LD340 Intake, Holley 750cfm Carburetor, Mopar Valve covers, Hooker Super Comp ceramic coated headers, 3" TTI pipes w/ Magnaflow mufflers, Lakewood Driveshaft loop. This 340 sounds mean & runs STRONG with a nice aggressive lope to it! 904 Automatic trans - floor shift with a small converter and a Lokar kick-down cable. Also has the stock 7 1/4” rear end with an unknown gear ratio. (guessing low 3.00s). Manual steering box and Manual drum / disc brakes. The Demon has a new front suspension - (American) MOOG kit: 4 tie rods, 2 sleeves, idler arm, pitman arm, draglink. New master cylinder. Autometer gauges. 3-core radiator, A-body console w/12V power outlet (rare!), Tuff wheel, fender turn signals, Weld ProStar wheels (15x7 front, driver's side rim is slightly bent), 15x8 rear), L60 tires in rear (which do rub the quarter panel lip right now), new hood pins, new hood scoops, new carpet, new door panels, new headliner (some wrinkles), new mirror. The body is rust-free, floor pans, trunk pan & frame rails all in great shape! Body was media-blasted and repainted by previous owner in 2006. The paint and body work are amateur, not perfect but good for a driver. The Demon has some filler in a few select areas, all pinch welds and seams appear to be present and unmolested. Bumpers are ok, rear has a dent (see photos). All brightwork in above average condition. Paint / stripes are not high quality, but is has a good shine to it. Grille is in great shape! The front bucket seats have a few split seams, and rear seat has a few splits on the bottom and the top is torn in places. Dash pad is near perfect, instrument cluster in great shape (fuel gauge does not work)- dash uncut and stock radio is still present. Trunk weather-stripping also included (just not installed). This Demon is very original and could be a nice numbers-matching driver if wanted. Included in this auction are the numbers-matching 318 and 904 automatic that this Demon was born with. The 318 is complete and running (see engine on stand in photos!), with a Holley Street Dominator intake. Motor was completely re-gasketed, new Brass Freeze plugs, and comes with black Flowtech headers. This 318 is low miles and runs good as well. We even have the original 14" Rallye rims (no trim rings or center caps) included. All locks work, 2 sets of keys. Just a fun, FAST car to drive around and not have to worry about parking anywhere. Thanks for looking and Happy Bidding!!!
