Vehicle Detail

This vehicle is offered with no reserve and will sell. Everytime I list one of my vehicles I try to be as clear and as candid as possible and every time multiple people call later lamenting that they missed the deal, so don't fool around! Unfortunately, this is my last one! Offered is a completely rust free 1966 Mustang fastback, but it is different. I set this car up to be my commuter, but when my wife got ill and passed I put it in storage and never finished it. Now I'm trying to simplify my life so off it goes. I already sold the 1967 Mustang convertible, the RCR GT40 (see it in the Fast 5 movie), and the Kirkham 289 Cobra. This car was a coupe that was converted to fastback by a company in AZ. The chassis was stripped, the car dipped, all sheet metal replaced and the fastback panels added, and then the entire thing was epoxy primered. I included a picture of the chassis arriving. I then added all brand new components as follows: Coupe to fastback conversion..........................................$9,000 Ford racing 347w Boss crate motor..................................$6,995 Tremec TKO600 (.64 OD)................................................$2,400 Currie complete 9" rear (3.89 locker, with disk brakes)....$2,500 Dual Flowmaster exhaust.................................................$ 500 Rack and pinnion unit with tilt column and wheel.............$1,400 Wheel/tires........................................................................$2,000 New front suspension.......................................................$ 500 Mustang Steve pedal set, M/C and cable clutch set up...$ 600 Various other parts including all glass, intake/carb, MSD distributor/6A box/coil, MP interior, radio/speakers, front seats, roll bar (welded in), cluch/bellhousing, Denny's driveshaft, gas tank, radiator, stainless steel fuel and brake lines, steel reinforced fiberglass hood, steel fenders, bumpers/brackets, carpet, headliner, etc., etc., etc. I have 99% of the parts to finish it. Probably all of them, but I don't want to claim all as I might be missing something small. There are over $30,000 in parts and services in this car and I'm starting the no reserve auction at half that amount. This is a great deal for the right person who will have the car painted and reassembled for a great, rust free Mustang. I started the engine, drove it around my old neighborhood, and tuned the carb. I finished the bodywork, wet sanded the entire car with 400, and painted the jams, trunk, engine compartment, and under hood. Then it sat under a cover in the garage after my wife became ill. I always planned on finishing it, but lately realized that just will never happen. My loss is your gain. Finish it over the winter and drive it in the spring. It is a beautiful car with zero rust. What you will need to do. There are two tiny gouges in the primer that will need a tiny amount of glazing putty. Something was spilled on the fender and top of rear quarter panel (two small stains) that will need to be addressed. The rest is perfect, but it is very dusty. I was going to paint it red, so that's the color of the jams. You can do what ever color you want. I would address the four items mentioned above, apply a sealing primer, top coat, and clear. Stripe it if you want. Reassemble, fine tune the carb, and off you go! The car is sold as is, where is and you will need to either come get it or arrange shipping. If you come get it, bring a truck as I have many boxes and other stuff. Inspect it anytime I'm home and feel free to ask any questions. I'll try to be as clear and open as possible. Good luck with your bid, this car will sell!
