Vehicle Detail
I started this project a couple years ago and have realized its time to move on. Started out with a 1992 3/4 ton Dodge diesel Cummins with only 115k original miles. Still have the car fax and the original odometer to prove it. If you arent already familiar with Cummins Diesels you should know that 115k is pratically new. Starts up on the first lick in the dead of winter everytime. The modifications were pretty extensive with this one. Truck still needs some odds and ends but is already a runner. I have driven this thing on the freeway and around town but has not yet been registered. I have purchased original 1947 plates off ebay but never made it to DMV to tell my story. I will try to be as thorough with my description as possible. I purchased this well taken care truck in Reno and on the same ride home stopped and picked up a 1947 GMC cabover in a farm field in Chico. My dream was to turn it into the most awesome wvo veggie machine on the planet. Life happened and here it is.. What has been doneCab lowered and mounted on frame. Hood, fenders and step are all functionally mounted but may need some reinforcement in areas. Still rattles a bit at high speeds.Married original 1947 steering wheel to 1992 power steering box with all borgeson steering components. Turns freely with one finger.Remounted brake master cylinder and lines. Remounted intercooler radiator to firewall and added 12" electric fan behind it.Remounted radiator and installed top of the line electric fan. It runs so cool that it hardly comes on.Made emergency brake into a fully functional gear shifter. Installed key with original push button ignitionK&N filterGas pedal and linkage hooked up. Still needs a pedal of some sort. I have fabricated a 50mil shell but never installed it.Used old hydralic rearend cylinder as overflow for radiator.Dual battery set upAuxilary tank set up for wvo or extra tank.Sound proofed cab Things leftHead lights still need to be hooked up. Brake lights wiring is done but no lens have been installed.RegistrationBed farbicatedLoose nuts and boltsInterior Seat beltsHave curved side glass to make it a 5 windowHave original gauges but no radioConvincing your girl that this is a good idea Any questions feel free to contact me. Have no problems with you coming and checking it out prior to purchase but please serious buyers only. Thanks.
