We have for sale a gorgeous 2000 Cadillac DTS. For a 12 year old automobile it is in excellent shape. While not perfect, and in my opinion, no used car ever is, I would not be afraid to drive it across the country. The only things I noticed while personally driving the car, was the service suspension light was on and the gas gauge works intermittently, both of which I believe are not difficult nor expensive fixes.
The heated seat works wonderfully. I am 46, have had back surgery and will never own a car without heated seats if I can help it.
The tires are excellent and I would rate them at about 85% maybe better.
These cars really get good gas mileage for what they are. Most of mine have averaged 20 + mpg if driven well. In a hurry, more like 16-18 mpg.
I have placed a low reserve on the vehicle to protect myself, but I am pretty sure that it will pass that number in a hurry.
This auction will not end early. I have it on the lot at my location and will write on it that it is strictly an EBay vehicle and if someone wants it, they will have to bid on it, just like you.
I spent $8.00 at the car wash because it came in dirty. It could use the interior swept out as evidenced by the pictures.
If you wish a complete detail done on the vehicle, let me know and I will let you know the cost of it depending upon the level of the detail you want.
Reputation- This is the internet and while I have been doing it, including EBay for well over 12-15 years, it is well to be wary of who you do business with. I am proud to have 100% positive feedback. The last item I sold was a motor home. The winning bidder came, looked at it and was not satisfied, yet you notice, I have 100% positive feedback. I say this because I try to be as transparent as possible and let you know exactly what to expect from me. Incidentally, I sold the motor home to the back up bidder, who was absolutely thrilled with it. Cars are a very large part of my life but I also have rental property, have a sustainable farm, fish for catfish, and am studying to become an auctioneer.
Taxes- I am a licensed dealer. As such, I am required by Ohio law to collect the appropriate sales tax. Some states have reciporical agreements. It will cost you no more money to buy from me than anywhere else.
Fee's- We charge 10% of the selling price up to a maximum of $250.00 for a documentation fee which helps defray expenses such as paperwork, Federal checklists (make sure you're not a terrorist or drug dealer), etc... Federal law dictates that if we charge 1 customer this fee we must charge all customers the same fee so this is not negotiable.
Deposit- We require a $500.00 deposit via PayPal within 24 hours of Auction close. If you come to my dealership and find any material misrepresentation, I will refund 100% of your fees. If you come to my dealership and do NOT find any material misrepresentation, yet still decide that you are unhappy, I will refund 1/2 of your deposit, the rest being liquidated damages. This is an internet auction and we both have responsibilities.
Delivery- We have a truck and trailer and will be happy to quate you a delivery fee. Or, we can meet you 1/2 way for expenses. We are not looking to make money off the delivery, only to assist you if you need it. We will also be happy to pick you up at Port Columbus International Airport or Akron Canton International airport for the nominal cost of $50.00 which pays for gas and a driver.
