This remarkably detailed and highly restored all steel half ton has only 10,000 miles since built and features a 454 cubic inch GM motor delivering plenty horsepower to the rear wheels. Recent maintenance to the truck includes new main seals (engine and tranny) , new valve cover & pan gaskets, new water pump, new steering box. History of the Truck: This truck was purchased for a transmission shop when it was just two years old. It served its time and in 1992 began to be restored slowly in the shop owner's spare time, which wasn't a lot. Through the help and services of others in the business, the truck underwent a frame off restoration starting in 1992 and completed in 2009. Restoration Process or Other Special Features or Comments: This truck was completely disassembled... until no two parts were connected. Everything on the frame was prepped & painted. The body was separated from the frame as was, each panel. After prep and paint, the parts were reassembled using stainless steel bolts. An all aluminum gas tank was professionally built to add mileage capabilities. The engine was built with a mild cam. The truck is 90% original metal except for bed which was battered due to transmission hauling. The current bed is flawless. The truck was given a PPG paint job after meticulously smoothing body panels. The body features shaved handles, frenched headlights, 1940 Chevy taillights and a custom rear pan. We have just scratched the surface here. Everything about this truck has been given full attention to detail. It appears stock and stock chevy parts were used when possible. Every part off the truck has been examined, refurbished or replaced. Nothing has been overlooked.
