Start Slideshow Stop Slideshow Next Image Previous Image The R107 took the chassis components of the mid size Mercedes-Benz W114 model and mated them to the larger engines from the S-Class. The SL variant was a 2-seat convertible/roadster with standard soft top and hardtop and optional folding seats for the rear bench. From July, 1974 both SL and SLC could also be ordered with a fuel-injected 2.8L straight-6 as 280 SL and SLC. In 1976, the 280SL was not offered for sale in the United States. These cars are very hard to find with only imported cars here in the states. The Euro or Standard cars don’t have the protruding bumpers in the front and rear which give the car a sleeker, cleaner look. This particular car is a 60,000 original mile car that is a rarely seen classic that comes with both soft top and hard top as well as AMG accents which really sets it off from the rest. This car was imported in November of 1984 by a Mike Owens as it states on the import tag. The paint on the car appears to be all original and in very good condition overall with no major imperfections. The same goes for the soft top that goes up and down with no issues. The front and rear bumpers are both in great condition and retain a great shine and luster. The rubber is equally as nice with no major damage. Inside, the black leather is in wonderful condition with no major imperfections. No rips, tears or scuffs to be found on the seats. The wood is in good overall condition with only some very minor cracking as you can see in the photos. There has been an aftermarket AM/FM/CD player installed. Under the hood the twin overhead cam six cylinder runs great. The car feels as it has just as much horsepower as its V8 counterparts but will be saving you hundreds of dollars in gas. The engine compartment is very clean and original with no damage to be found. The trunk is solid and includes a full size spare. VIN number is 10704212001708 and the car is being sold on a clean Missouri title showing the previous owner has had the car since 2006. This agreement to arbitrate shall survive the sale of the automobile described herein. Buyer and Seller hereby agree that Missouri law shall control for all purposes under this Bill of Sale. Buyer and Seller hereby consent to the personal jurisdiction of the state and federal courts of Missouri to specifically enforce the agreement to arbitrate and to enter judgment of and enforce the award of the arbitrator. Payment Terms Payment must be made by Cashiers Check, Money Orders or Wire Transfers payable in US Dollars. A Refundable deposit in the amount of $500.00 must be received within Twenty-Four(24)hours of the auctions close either by Master Card, Visa or PayPal. The buyer has seven(7) days from close of auction to inspect the vehicle. If the vehicle is not to your liking within this seven day inspection period then your deposit will be refunded 100%. If an inspection or decision takes longer then seven days and you find the vehicle not to your liking, your deposit will be forfeited and the car will be relisted. Final payment must be received within ten (10) days of the auction close. The refundable deposit only applies if you or an agent inspect said vehicle in St. Louis and find it not to your liking. I will not be responsible for buyers remorse or problems found to said vehicle once they have left my property. I am just being realistic, most of the cars I deal in are vintage and by their very nature will need TLC and some degree of attention sooner or later. These are not new cars and should not be treated as such. Once full payment has been received, Seller will fax a copy of clear title, Bill of sale, Buyers guide and additional DMV forms to the Buyer to sign and return via fax. The forms must be returned to the Seller prior to the shipment of said vehicle. Original paperwork will be sent to Buyer Via overnight mail seven(7)days from date of final payment.
