Up for sale is an awesome little 1970 Porsche 914. Restored as a driver this summer. Car is really one of a kind with a lot of custom touches. 5 Sp. MECHANICAL: original 1.7 block upgraded to a 1.8 with bigger heads. Updated larger ignition. Dual weber carbs. New plugs and wires. Carbs just stripped down and rebuilt. 5 speed transmission shifts good with solid clutch. Car runs and drives well. I cruise at 60-80mph without issues. 4 Disc brakes. Brakes are good. Calipers painted red. Tires have good tread. I have had the car in the same garage spot a few months and it has NOT dripped anything. I also removed tank and cleaned, replaced fuel pump and fuel lines. BODY: I bought the car because it was pretty much solid. there were a couple soft spots in the door jam corners that I put new metal in. New metal was welded in the floor. Hoods had some hail dents. I floated them out but you can still see some in the hoods. Paint was done with base coat clear coat and the lids and doors were off and painted from the insides out. I have a lot of info on all of the work I did and pics since the day I bought the car and would be happy to show you if you would like. Paint looks very good, with a few minor flaws. Targa top locks in nicely and is in great shape. A lot of weatherstripping was also replaced, but not quite all of it. INTERIOR: After new metal was put in, floor was heavily undercoated and new carpet was put in. New custom seat material and door panel covers. New inside dash cover and outside dash cover. Installed new speakers and a new cd player with mp3 hookup. Guages work good. Carbon fiber off sets. FLAWS: As mentioned before, the biggest cosmetic flaw was the repaired hail damage. Not obvious unless looking for it. The headlights go up and down, but I don't have the motors hooked up. Can't guarantee they are working, but you can turn them up and down manually. Passenger window goes up and down but needs help towards the top. Seems like it was repaired inside at some point. Odometer was working until I had dash out, I may have pulled something loose.
