Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a 1968 Firebird I purchased and planned to build. As the months have passed I found another car I want to build instead. That doesn't change the fact that this is still a great car to build. It has a strait body that does need a repaint but overall is in decent shape. It has some sheet metal rust here and there but the floorpans, rockers, trunk, framerails, cowl etc look very solid. The car has a Pontiac 350 motor (never started but it is not frozen up and turns easily) and had a 4 speed trans at one time. It has a TH350 trans in the trunk and a set of heads too. The car has a 10 bolt rear end, multi leaf springs, power steering, and power brakes. The interior is mostly gone but the headliner is near perfect and the front door panels are usable. The car had an engine fire before it was parked and the engine and dash electrical will have to be replaced. All the glass is there and the regulators all seem to work. The drivers door is sticking right now but should be an easy fix. The car comes with a few extra parts including an extra front bumper assembly that is used. Is it a perfect car no. Is it a car begging to be a Pro Touring monster, you bet! Please email me with any questions. Car does have a clear and clean Title. You may call me at 208-859-6000 if you need to also. The car will need to be picked up locally or I will work with whatever transport company you choose but the costs are the buyers responsibility. A deposit of 10% of the final bid within 48 hours will be required and the rest payable before delivery. Happy Bidding!!!On Oct-26-12 at 07:03:44 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had a lot of questions as to the extent of the rust. All lower areas solid except one or two dime size holes in drivers floor pan. Easy Fix and by no means needs a new pan. Other floors and trunk are solid. Rear right lower quarter is bubbling and will need a patch panel but trunk drop is solid and so is outer wheel well. Drivers side has one or two small bubbles that should not need a patch. Passenger door will need a patch in outer sheet metal at front but back won't. Divers door has a little bubbling in front but should not require a patch. Rockers are solid. Front fenders are clean other than small bubbles under bottom door side edge of front fenders (not needing a patch just ground and spot welded and ground). The paint on the car has been there for over 20 years so there should be no hidden issues. The original color of the car is Silver and it looks to have only had one repaint. There was some bondo used in the last paint job and I would probably have media blasted the car if I had kept it. Door frames and front of rear quarters are very solid with no sign of rust. Roof etc is solid. Dash will need painted. The hood is a replacement after the electrical engine fire had warped the old one. Failed to mention it has and Edelbrock intake and carb too.Hope this helps with any questions you have concerning the body of the car.
